New York City...

the two cousins have some fun!

Richard and I went to eat lunch at the seaport. Nice area. This is me in front of the neat looking ships.

The first night Mandy got there we went to see Rent. Such a good musical!

Then we walked around Times Square and got a random person to take this pic. I think she moved the camera...

Our hotel was near Central Park, so we walked around it the next day. Here we are with the pretty leaves

And here I am in another part of the park

This is Ground Zero, World Trade Center former site. I was standing at the new metro station that had just opened the day before for the first time since 9/11.

We didn't go out on the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty - but there it is in the background, looking from Battery Park

We ended up at the seaport again. This time, the picture is of me and the Brooklyn Bridge

Me in front of the Stock Exchange. You can't see the guard with the machine gun in the background...Richard lives about 50 feet from this building on Wall Street (I stayed there Sat night)

Grand Central Station at night..I guess you can kind of see it

Mandy and I inside Grand Central

We ate at Niko's Greek Restaurant a block from our hotel in the Upper West Side- really good and reasonable

Next day we headed to the Guggenheim - this is the ceiling inside the museum, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright

And this is me inside...the featured artist was Rosenquist

And me outside, so you can see the design

Here we are at another view of Central Park

Looking down Fifth Avenue..

In Rockefeller Plaza, Saks Fifth Avenue behind us...don't know what Mandy's doing ;)

Macy's is on the left, complete with one of the giant balloons used in the Thanksgiving Day Parade..Empire State Building on the right

Here we are, our last night, in a Chinese/Thai or something restaurant we found a cheap happy hour at..
