To me, it makes no sense to move times by one hour twice a year. The length of the day is still 24 hours. The official reason for this is to give one more time before sundown. However, I fail to see the point of putting oneself at an even higher risk for a serious or fatal car accident on the way to school or work. People are already too dangerous behind the wheel, and they are at their worst when they are tired. Most countries around the world do not use daylight savings time. Only most of the United States and (I think) parts of Canada use it. In the United States, two states, Arizona and Indiana, have come to their senses and done away with daylight savings time. Perhaps the rest of the states and provinces (if Canada uses daylight savings time) can join them.
