The path that Audrey has chosen to walk has recently been a rough and bumpy road. After attending KSU, she transferred to KU Med in order to better her chances at Medical School. Not long after the transfer, her father passed away after a tenacious battle with cancer. It is amazing when a person's true strengths shine in adverse situations. During the battle, Audrey was there not only for her father, but was steadfast for her mother and brother as well, being a pillar for them to lean against to support and carry them through it.
Unfortunately, I did not get to know Ato as well as I would have liked, but from what traits, values and morals I did come to know about him, I can see living in Audrey, and for that I thank Ato greatfully.
How Audrey and I came to know and love one another is simply based on chemistry... literally. We first met in Chem I laboratory. It was a semi-bright and flourescent afternoon, the sweet scent of sulfur was aloft and the lull of the exhaust-hood fans soothed our catalytic souls. Romantic, eh? Oh yeah, I know, I was there!!
Classic flirtations insued in the way of marking "Audrey" as a possible source of experimental error on the lab report and convinving her that she was wrong even when I knew she was right. Of course, if you ask her now, she'll say that she was simply being nice and that there was no flirting going on and that it was all of my own desiring imagination.
Although now I think that she knew she was right and was just messing with MY head... danged smart women, you have to watch out for them.
