Radio and Records has Joy at the following positions:
Christian AC Most Added- Joy is 5th with 3 adds
Christian CHR Most Added- Joy is has 3 adds which puts her with TobyMac and Jeremy Camp
Christian CHR Most Increased Plays- Joy is 5th with 75 increased plays.

Chart News: "Surrender" is still moving up on "The Chart at CMCentral.com" It is up to #9. Head over there and vote.
At Tranz4mation, Surrender continues at #1 for the 4th straight week on their song of the week chart and "By Surprise" is #3 on their album chart.

Radio News: Radio and Records has Joy at #3 on their CHR Most added list with 5 stations adding the song(as many as added the new MercyMe song) and at #3 on their CHR most increased spins list with 132.
Air1 has added "Surrender".
Shine 89.7 FM added the song.

ITS HERE, ITS HERE. After months of waiting, anticipating "By Surprise releases today. A reviews page has been created at "Real Joyful" which has reviews of both of her CDs. If you buy the CD and would like to offer a review email me and let me know.

Chart News:
Shaun at Tranz4mation let me know that "Surrender" is still #1 for the week at the song of the week chart. "Surrender" has moved up to #15 on "The Chart at CMCentral.com". Head on over there and vote in "The Chart" and let's push it higher.

"By Surprise" has dropped to #3 on the CD of the week chart at "Tranz4mation"

Radio News:
CMRadio.net has started playing "Surrender". Visit their site and go to the "Energy" station. Once on the station, click on request song and request "Surrender". Dont forget to rate the song as well. Thanks to CMRadio.net for letting us know that it was now available. Thanks as well to Edge for telling us.

"Surrender" is #2 for the second week at  the song of the week chart at "Tranz4mation".  Thanks to a prerelease copy "By Surprise" is #1 on the CD of the week chart at "Tranz4mation"
"Surrender" has also moved up one spot  to #33 on "The Chart" .

Radio News:

In a mixture of Chart and Radio News: "Surrender" is #13 on the HIS Radio play list.

Chart News:
"Surrender" is #2 on Radio and Records Christian AC Most Added© list for the week ending September 6th with 10 adds. This beats out Alli Rogers, Nichole Nordeman, and Third Day.
"Surrender" is also #5 on Radio and Records Christian CHR Most Added© list for the same time period with 3 adds.
"Surrender" has also jumped onto "the Chart" at CMCentral.com at #34 making it their highest debut for this week. Vote on "The Chart" to push the song even higher.
The song has jumped up to #2 on the chart at "Tranz4mation".

Radio News:
Spirit FM 90.3 in Lynchburg/Roanoke, VA has started playing "Surrender".

Shawn reports that "Surrender" is being played on KOKF 90.9 FM in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Shawn also reports that "Surrender" lept onto the number 7 slot the chart at "Tranz4mation".

Created a new poll asking which of the 10 clips is your favorite. "Surrender" won the votes for the 5 original clips that we had, with 50% of the votes.
"Surrender" will be one of the songs on "WoW 2003".

Several bits of news to report:
"Above the Groove" is now available to buy. That means that you will get to hear "Surrender" for yourself. Yup, finally a song from the new CD. See the August 22nd entry for more information.
"Surrender" has hit radio. A lot of people are no doubt glad that this is the first single to be released since it has the "Surrender" clip received almost as many votes in our poll as all the other clips combined.
Is your local Christian radio station playing "Surrender"? If not, then email them or call them and request it. This is an amazing song and should be one of her best radio hits yet. This song shows off Joy's amazing vocal ability as she lets loose throughout the emotionally charged song. She hits a high note that is amazing and rivals the one in "I Believe in You". This is one of those songs that holds you from beginning to end and when you are done listening to it you just sit amazed.

"Surrender" the first single from "By Surprise" has already started hitting radio with WLFA 91.3 in Asheville, NC playing it last night. If you hear it on the radio, email me and let me know and we will try to keep a running list of what stations are playing it and where.
Provident is releasing "Above the Groove" CD on Monday. Amongst 17 tracks, it includes "Surrender" (the full CD version). You can buy some popular Provident titles and get it free or get the CD by itself for $3.99. Email me and let me know what you think.

Provident says that the CD has sounds reminiscent of Nelly Furtado or Natalie Imbrulgia.  Definitely sounds like it will not be the same as her first CD.

Provident Music reports that “Surrender,” the first single from Joy Williams’ upcoming release, By Surprise, will impact radio on August 23.

So far we know that out of the ten tracks some of the titles are "Surrender" (see the news item above for August 7th), "Everyday", and a possible title of "Wonder Why" (not the Avalon song).

We also know that Joy has written or co-written 8 of the 10 tracks.  Joy is singing some of these songs in concert and people are saying that they sound more funky, more acoustic along the lines of "Serious"
