I am a nurse....it's my "calling", not a job...
I have some things to share, please pull up a chair and visit a bit.
What I have to say will never hit the newspapers or history books,
but perhaps it will touch a place in your heart and soul.
First of all, I know a great deal about being a patient. I continue to learn more things about being a nurse.
On this page will be links to some great health care sights.
I also hope to put some links about nutrition and information that a patient has a right to know, where to go for answers to questions, or at least a good start.
I would also like to share a few stories about some special patients.
"Thoughts to ponder", if you will.

You should know a little bit more to appreciate some of the stories. First, I became a certified police officer.
I worked in a jail as a matron, correctional officer and a Deputy Sheriff. After finishing nursing school,
I was hired as a nurse in a Prison Unit of a hospital. My patients were also prisoners.
Now, please remember that everyone needs help sometimes
and prisoners are people that have made mistakes.
I never treated an inmate or patient any other way than
I would want to be treated if in their position.
I try to live by the Golden Rule.
No matter what, loosing a patient to death is never
easy!
I now live in Texas and work in a prison as a nurse.
We have 500 men and 500 women and a wonderful staff.
You may wonder, why would you work there?
Well, I believe this is God's calling on my life
I prayed about a job and this is the one He provided.
I will continue doing what I am doing until the Lord
decides otherwise. He has blessed me with a wonderful boss
and some wonderful people to work with and this
is a Blessing for me.

Attention Deficite
Some things are up close and personal to me.
I am an adult with Attention Deficite.
I can assure you, I am not mentally handicapped
and can do my job and I really hate the label
as being treated under Behavior Management.
In fact, I dislike labels period!
I have also suffered with Kidney Stones. For the last 10 years
and over 88 stones. I can probably tell you a good many things about
them, so if you suffer from them, email me. We can compare notes. I
found that I had a parathyroid tumor and that was causing some of
the problem. I cannot tell you how many hospitals, doctors and assorted
treatments I have been through. I can tell you that there are many
people in health care that do not know what they are doing. I moved to
Texas to get help and finally did. Below you will find a link to the National
Kidney Foundation. I will be adding more links as time goes by.
