        Clwyd Badge

This Badge was made up of parts of the old Denbighshire and Flintshire badges, when the two counties amalgamated in 1974 to become Clywd.

The Cornish cloughs were part of the Coat of Arms of Edward Tregeingi founder of an ancient tribe of North Wales.

The Celtic Cross came from a Coat of Arms of the founder of an ancient tribe of North Walkes.

The lion was from the Coat of Arms of the Prince of Powis Fadog the oldest of the Welsh tribes.

The wavy green lines represent the Vale of Clwyd and the Clwydian hills.
