 On
February 26, 1998 a group of eclipse watchers positioned themselves along
the path of totality in South America and the Caribbean and took part in
a live broadcast of the event over the Internet. My partner Tim Priddy
and I on the ms Statendam near Curacao recorded these deck scenes during
the eclipse with a color QuickCam at one frame a minute. We weren't
able to upload pictures from the ship but did transfer images to our website
from land a few hours later. Warning - 60 files must download
before the slideshow begins. It takes ~5 minutes at 28.8kbps.
