My name is Karen, I've been a school bus driver for thirty four years now. I work for Laidlaw / First Student Educational Services.
They have only been with our school for nine years this year.
I have driven for several different school as I've moved several times. I am driving for a very small school at present and have been with them for nineteen years, I have to say I like the smaller school better than the large ones, you really get to know your bus students much better. I have had all of my students since Kindergarden and now am driving second generation.
The company I work for now has a very strict safty program and we have to have safty training every month. it's a good program and it really makes you stop and think about the job that you do.
