| Cordelia Chase was a student of Sunnydale High for 4 years. In her junior year she started dating Xander Harris. They continued to date until Xander cheated on her with Willow. Until her senior year Cordy was one of the richest girls at Sunnydale High. Towards the end of her senior year the IRS took away all her money, her house, car, everything. Once she graduated Cordy left Sunnydale and moved to L.A. to become an actress but never really succeded at it. She met up with Angel again and started working for him at Angel Investigations. Just before Doyle died he kissed her and passed on his visions to her. Since Cordy doesn't have any computer or typing skills the visions are her way of helping and she is the link to the Powers That Be.
