This is the parking area beside the area we call "The Bowl". Behind the camera is a nice grassy camping area. We had two cars overheat on the way home this trip. That is my Dart in this pic. It overheated on me on the way up to the river. I had to skip canoeing this year and borrowed a car, drive to Parsons for an auto parts store and bought a new waterpump. So, while everyone else was canoeing, I stayed in camp and swapped out the water pump. It was too late though, the head gasket was already blown. It was a looooong trip home, I overheated over and over again. Alan and Karen were having overheating problems with their big Lincoln, too. We formed a caravan and stayed together on the way home. We had to stop twice while still on Hwy. 13 to fix blown water hoses on my Dart. We stopped again near Dickson TN to remove the thermostat. It didn't over heat again after that, until I got about 4 miles from home. I sold the Dart when I got home and bought an old Ford F-100.
