A Judgement Day for G-d … If there is a G-d
It is difficult to draw any ethical line when it comes to the idea and notion of G-d. It is amazing that some people try to rescue G-d when G-d is already considered as an omnipotent Supreme Being who is needless. Based on this underlying principle, G-d does not need His mortal creatures' efforts to defend Him in any case. So please leave G-d alone since He can defend Himself better than anybody else and has no need for any earthly lawyer.
I am writing this directly to G-d. And I hope He can hear me. I will be waiting for G-d's response to what I am going to charge Him with.
Most of us believe that an infamous person like Adolf Hitler is a real war criminal and spiteful. We believe that Hitler committed murder and human atrocities. If we could, we would prosecute Hitler and make him responsible for what he did. And of course, we would seek a capital punishment for his capital crimes. Undeniably, Hitler killed millions of innocent people just because they were not the way that he wanted them to be.
But wait a second. Hitler himself did not kill anybody directly with his own hands. He never pulled a trigger in an execution squad while aiming at innocent people. He never set up a notorious oven with his own hands. Hitler, himself, never released the deadly gas into the lethal gas chambers. Indeed, all the atrocities were done under his command and after his name by other human beings. However, we still make him accountable for what happened within five years of the Second World War; death upon death, misery upon misery, and suffering upon suffering.
How about G-d? How about centuries of war and atrocities done under His command and after His name? After all, G-d Himself never killed anybody with His own hands. G-d never pulled a trigger or made a bomb by Himself. But history is full of crusades and jihads after His almighty name with His almighty commands. To me, G-d is responsible for all the religious bloodshed in the human history, the same way that Adolf Hitler was responsible for five years of atrocities during the Second World War. I wish we could set up a judgment day for G-d; a trial in which G-d is going to explain what has been the rationale behind all these human bloodshed and suffering under His command.
I am just wondering if G-d is going to command a believer to kill me for the above statements and allegations. It is hard not to remind myself of the fact that there is a Fetwa for Mr. Salman Rushdie, since Hazarath Imam Ruhallah al-Musavi al-Khomeini (RA) became G-d's lawyer and judge to defend Him against Mr. Rushdie's possession of free thought. Well, I guess G-d is powerful enough to challenge me on His own rather than crying out for His creatures' help and perhaps retribution. After all, G-d is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and needless.
Humanity bless,
Farzad Roohi
