COAT REFERENCE CHART

Use these charts to help you learn your coat colours, patterns, and markings, though you don't need to know anything but your pony's basic coat classification (solid/pinto/appaloosa) for registry applications.

Example ponies with slashes or crosses through them indicate variations that may occur within the colouration/pattern, or related patterns:

  • Chestnut: Chestnut/Sorrel
  • Cremello: Perlino/Cremello
  • Dun: Red dun/Dun
  • Grey: (going clockwise from upper left corner) Grey, fleabitten grey, dapple grey, light grey
  • Roan: Red roan/Blue roan

Any other questions or clarifications? Just ask Emera.

Solid Coats

(Max Marking is the greatest amount of white markings a pixel pony may have to still be considered a solid, not a pinto.
