The next morning Anna woke up earlier then usual, she walked down the hall and into her bathroom. She took a quick shower and got dressed into a yellow tube top and a pair of baggy dark blue coveralls. She walked downstairs and into the kitchen to find her brother sitting at the table chomping down on a bowl of Captain Crunch.

"Where are you going?" he asked with a mouth full of cereal.

"No where, does it look like I'm going some place, I don't even have my hair done." She said pointing to the damn tangles of brown hair draped down her shoulders.

"Oh well ‘Sorry'" He replied rudely.

"You know Jarred, you should invest in a hobby and stay out of my business anyway," she retorted. Her brother just made a face as she turned around to pour her juice. Their mother walked into the room and grabbed a glass from the cupboard, she placed it down and Anna poured her a glass of OJ.

"Did Jarred tell you?" her mother asked taking a sip of her Orange juice.

"Tell me what?"she asked looking from her brother to her mother.

"Well your father is coming down to visit, apparently he has some good news to tell you, and he's bringing a surprise."

"Omg...when?"she said, her eyes filled with happiness.

"Well he's been down for quite some time, he's been looking for a place, he's stopping by to pick you up tonight." she replied.

"Great! I have to go shopping then. Mom...." she replied with that pleading look.

"Fine, but don't go over the limit!! You know what happened the last time you did it. Your step father got awfully angry," she warned.

"Ok, I promise."

Anna ran up the stairs and quickly dialed Brian's number. He answered after a few rings.

"Brian, what are you doing today?"she asked.

"Um, as far as I know nothing until 5:00, I'll be meeting the band member's then." he replied.

"Cool, do you want to come shopping with me?" she asked.

"Yeah sure, you going to pick me up or what?"

"Uh......I don't have my licence yet, would you pick me up?"

"Wait your turning..... 18 soon, aren't you?"

"Yeah, yeah.......come on!"

"Ok, be there in a few," he said before hanging up.

Anna quickly dried her hair, and put it in curls, she did her make up as the door rang. She walked down the stairs and answered the door. Brian never saw he so beautiful, her brown hair cascading down her shoulders in curls, and the streaks of blonde highlights she had put in a few weeks back.

"Hey, ready?" he asked.

"Hold on,"she said as she grabbed the visa off the table and slid it in her back pocket. "Ok now I am."she smiled. Brian opened the car door for her and she hopped in. They soon arrived at the mall. First they hit Robinson's May. She ended up buying a cute white spaghetti that had the word's scrawled ‘Sexy' in red cursive glitter, and a pair of black leather pants. They then went into Macy's Where Anna scanned the cosmetic counters. She bought her self a package of Tommy, which came with perfume and cologne and some other stuff.

"You know what store you will love?" Anna spoke.

"No, what?"

"Spencer's, come on!" she said and lead him into the store.

"Oh my...... they don't have this in the mall back Home! What is this, a porn shop?" he laughed.

"No, it's just got goofy apparel." she said flipping threw the posters in the back.

"Oh..."

"Oh my god, what a hottie!" she exclaimed

"What?"

"That guy, look!" she replied pointing at a tall brunette behind the counter. "He must be new, I've never seen him here before. Lets go talk with him."

"No, that's the last thing he needs, if he just started here, let him do his job." Brian replied as Anna drug him threw the store.

"Oh wait, maybe we should buy something."

"Yeah genius, that would be a good idea." He joked.

"Haha, now what should I get, better yet what should ‘you' get?"

"What, no way, I'm not buying anything in this place."

"Oh come on Brian, please, for me?"

"Oh fine, what should I get though?"

"I don't know, get a hat."

"Which one?"

"I don't know, pick one!"

Brian grabbed a hat and the two went to go and pay for it. Anna looked up to find the guy looking at her. She smiled and he smiled back.

"Will that be all?"

"Yeah," Brian replied.

"Your total come's to 10:50."

Brian handed the guy his money and received his change. He quickly walked out of the store leaving Anna trailing behind him.

"Hey!" the guy called after her.

"Yeah,"she smiled and turned around.

The guy stood there for a second with a blank expression on his face. "What do I say what do I say?"he thought as words escaped his lips. "Do you want your receipt?" Anna gave a weird look...and replied... "Uh...yeah, sure." and walked toward him.

"Good going, dumb ass!"he thought to himself as he handed her the receipt.

"Thanks,"she said smiling.

"No prob, by the way, what's your name?"

"Anna, what's yours?" she grinned.

"AJ, it's nice to meet you Anna."

"You too, Did you just start here, I haven't seen you here before."

"Yeah, I just moved down here with my mom and her boyfriend from L.A."

"Oh, that's cool, do you like it here so far?"

"Yeah, I was born here in South Beach, so it's great to be back with all the old memories."

"That's cool, well I should be going my friend's out there waiting. It was nice meeting you."

"You to, do you think maybe I could call you sometime and we could get together?" He said with a huge grin across his face.

"Sure I'd love that,"she said as she grabbed the pen off the counter and scrawled her number on the back of the receipt and handed it to him. He grabbed her hand and slowly picked it up to his lips and kissed it gently, "thanks."

Anna smiled back as she walked out of the store, "talk to you soon,"

Brian and Anna got in the car and drove out of the parking lot.

"It took you long enough in there," Brian said breaking the silence.

"Yeah, sorry about that Bri."

"So......?"

"He got my number!"she exclaimed happily.

"That's awesome girlfriend!" he replied in that girlish voice.

"Hahaha, your so silly Bri!"

"Yeah I know, it comes naturally!"

Later that evening Anna got all ready and was waiting down stairs.

"What, your dad hasn't come yet?" Jarred asked plopping himself down on the couch with a bag of chips.

"Does it look like he is, damn! I swear you ask the stupidest questions. Don't you have foot ball practice or something?"

"Well ‘sorry', what is it, that time of the month again or something?"he said as one of his friends walked into the room.

"Go to hell, Omg, AJ???" she squealed

"Anna?" he said as they got up to give each other a hug.

"Ugh man!!! don't do that, that's my sister, you don't know where she's been!"Jarred retorted.

"What are you doing here?"she asked as she sat back down.

"Don't worry about it, he's here for me, not you!"Jarred replied. Anna glared at him coldly.

"Hanging out, ya know."

"With my brother?" she asked as the door rang. "I got it!" She yelled as she ran to the door.

"Dad!"she cried.

"Sweetie!" he replied as she walked out and closed the door. "What, I don't get to come in?"

"No, not now, later!" she said as she walked to the car, and they left.
