Back at the BSB Hotel…

Kevin rolled over and slammed a hand on the alarm. “All right, okay.  I’m up. Wow, 10:30 already.  The guys will be in here in 30 minutes.”  He got up quickly, but sat back down. “Damn stitches. They hurt more than the cut does. “  He got up more slowly this time and headed off into his bathroom, stopping first at his closet. “Just something simple tonight. Nothing too fancy. I don’t think that I’ll be doing much dancing tonight with these stitches in. Doc Riley said to keep it on the down low for a couple of days.”  Kevin pulled out a black undershirt and a soft blue sweater for over it.  He pulled on some light beige cargo kackis.  He walked into the bathroom and went to the sink.  He pulled out his razor and carefully trimmed around his small goatee.  He ran some gel though his hair to spiked it a tad.  He put on his watch and rings and dabbed a bit of Polo Sport cologne on. “Ready.  Just in time to watch some of the Wildcat’s basketball game before the guys head in.”  He plopped back out on the couch and flipped it to ESPN.  His thoughts weren’t on the game though.  They were on Kelly and he was thinking about how he could see her again with out having to pop his stitches.  He could just walk back into the hotel, but that guy might get in his face again and he definitely didn’t need a scene.  “Maybe I’ll call in and just ask for her.  Oh, man.  Why in the hell an I even thinking about this.  I won’t ever see her again after this trip.  Get off it Kev,” he mumbled to himself out loud.

From behind him her heard snickering.  Nick popped up from behind the couch. “Kevin and Dr. Riley sitting in a tree. K I S S I N G.”  Nick ran around the room yelling this and ran smack into Brian as he entered the room. “What the heck are you yelling about Nick?” “Kevin was talking to himself about Dr. Riley and he doesn’t know how to get her,” Nick plopped down on the chair across from Kevin.  Kevin just sat there and gave cold looks towards Nick.  Brian laughed and took a seat next to his cousin. “You like her don’t you?  Call her up tomorrow and see if she wants to chill.  You’ve got a couple of more days around here.”  Kevin smiled and looked at his cousin, “Thanks Bri, but I think that I have had enough of girls for awhile.  Man, I still have bad dreams about Kristin.  I’m just going to concentrate on work and getting better.  These stitches are killing me.”  Brian was about to answer when Howie and AJ walked in. “Waddup.  Are we ready? Vamanos. Arriba. Let’s go.”  AJ was wearing leather pants and a red tight shirt.  He had on a red and black striped hat and red tinted sunglasses.  Howie, on the other hand was less dressed up.  He had on black jeans and a nice sweater.  Nick was wearing a basketball jersey and jeans and Brian was wearing black parachute pants and a black sweater.  The guys were ready and everyone collected their things and headed down to theirs cars.  Brian and Kevin went in Kevin’s 4 Runner and Nick, Howie, and AJ went in AJ’s Expedition.  They decided that Kev and Brian would lead because they were the only ones who remembered how to get to the club.  They pulled out of the hotel and were headed off to Studio 54.

In Studio 54…

Kelly and Madison got to the club right at 11:30 when it opened.  There was already a huge line waiting to get in.  “Man, I guess we should have gotten here earlier.  We’ll never get in now. Look at all theses people,” Kelly wailed.  Madison broke out laughing, “Girl, I told you.  I’ve got special guest passes.  No waiting out in all this snow and cold.  Back door here we come.”  The girls watched right up to the front of the line and Madison pulled out the passes from here purse.  Kelly could hear people whispering when they recognized Madison.  She felt so cool just being around her.  The bookey at the door recognized her too, and didn’t even ask for the passes.  He let Kelly and Madison in without even questioning.  The girls coat checked their jackets and walked hand in hand into the club.  Kelly stopped when they reached the entrance. “I don’t know if I can do this Madi.  I haven’t been dancing in a year.  I wouldn’t even know how to ask someone to dance anymore.  Please stay around me.”  Madison looked at Kelly’s scared face and squeezed her hand. “Ri, you can do this girl. You look beautiful and you are beautiful and what one man did to you shouldn’t change your life.  Okay?  And maybe you’ll find your Kevin around here.”  Madison smiled mysteriously.  Kelly face turned from scared to shocked. “How did you know that?  I didn’t even tell you!!”  Madison turned and let go of Kelly’s hand.  She took Kelly’s face into her hands instead. “I heard you talking at the piano tonight.  I love ya girl, and you should have told about the strange things that happened to you today.  You didn’t though and that’s your prerogative.  I just want you safe, and I want you happy, and from the way you were talking about this Kevin guy, I almost thought that you were acting normal again.  Talking about hot guys again and all.”  Kelly smiled and gave her friend a big hug. “Thanks you so much Madison.  I think that Maybe we should keep things quiet about what happened because I think it was Everett who followed me.  He was all weird at work today.  But that’s not it tonight.  It’s all about us, and I can tell you one thing for sure.  I will not  see my Kevin tonight.  He wasn’t even interested in me.  All I did was stitch him up today, but he was gone as fast as he could be when I was done.  And he’s a big famous celebrity.  He’s one of the Backstreet Boys.  He’s not even in town for two weeks.  But anyways, let’s party.”  The girls walked into the flashing
lights and blaring music.
