Chapter Eight

A few days later, AJ walked to Sky's work. He looked in and saw her working at her desk. Holding on to Becka's hand and a flower in her's they walked in.

"Sky!" Becka said and ran over to a surprised Sky. Sky opened her arms as Becka gave her a hug. "Hey." Becka said.

"Hey sweetie, how did you get here?" she asked.

"Daddy's over there. He said that to get me to stop talking about you so much, he might as well take me to see you."

Sky looked at AJ who was looking all over the office with his hands in his pockets. "AJ, you don't have to stand there you can come over here." She said in a nice voice.

"Sky this is for you." Becka said handing her the flower.

Sky took it and kissed Becka on the cheek. "Thank you. You want to help me put it in some water?"

"Yeah." Sky looked at AJ "You can sit here or stand. But if someone comes sit you know the drill." AJ smiled and sat down.

When they came back, Sky saw AJ looking at her plans for her new house. Something that he didn't know about. She put the flower vase down and put Becka on the floor. "You like it?" She asked him.

"You're moving?" he asked. Sadly.

"AJ we have to talk about this later. Not now, how about we go out for lunch and spend the rest of the day together?" she asked.

"YEAH!" Becka said. Making AJ smile. "Sure. Let me go get the car up front and you two can come on it. I know you didn't drive here, I saw Michael take your car this morning." he said making Sky frown.

After lunch, and taking Becka to every park possible. They were driving home from going to dinner at Chucky E. Chesses, Becka was sleeping on Sky in the back seat while she looked out the window. AJ watched her threw the mirror and then said, "You tired too?" he asked.

Sky looked at him and laughed. "You know me to well. We were chasing her around to much."

"Yeah. But we have to talk. I'm not letting you go home till we talk you know?"

"I know. And I would like that."

"Good. I don't want to lose this friendship. Plus I don't think that Becka would want that either."

"I doubt she's going to like the idea of me moving either."

"Where are you going to move to?" AJ asked.

"We're having the house built in upstate New York if we can get the land."

AJ sucked in his breath as he heard her say that.

"What's the matter?" She asked as they stopped at a long light.

"Nothing." he mumbled.

"Come on AJ I've known you longer than your group has known you, what is going on?"

"I don't want you to move." he said and looked at her. She looked at him, and for the first time really saw him.

"Jay, what's really bothering you? Tell me, you know that you can tell me anything."

"I can't tell you this." he said.

"What is it that you can't tell me?" she asked.

"I can't tell you Okay? Just leave it." he said.

"Fine." she said as they pulled into AJ's driveway.

Sky took Becka and carried her into the house, while AJ got the door and the lights.

"Where should I put her?" Sky asked.

"Bedroom." AJ said and started to walk up the stairs towards Becka's room. He turned on her light and undid the bed. "Here." he said as Sky gently laid Becka down in the bed. "Night Sweetie." Sky said and kissed her head. "Night Pumpkin." AJ said and pulled the covers over her body.
