This summer, a substantial contingent of the Saver/Silver clan mounted an expediton to Alaska. These photos document some of what we saw, without subjecting you to lots of "here we are with a raging grizzly hidden behind our bodies in the background"-type pictures.

First, the wildlife shots:

A caribou walking on the tundra.
An interesting geometric pattern of overlapping caribou bodies and antlers.
Three grizzlies out on the tundra.
Two Dall sheep lambs on a hillside.
Kittiwake condos.
An artic ground squirrel by its hole.
A caterpillar out on the tundra.
Stellar's sea lions lyin' around.
Two puffins out on the water.
A gruesome shark attack.

Now the scenic landscapes and plants:

A glacial valley in Denali National Park.
A tidewater glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.
The old Independence Pass gold mine, now a park.
A pretty tundra flower.
An interesting tundra plant.

If that's not enough for now, you've got too much time or too much bandwidth at your disposal!!!
