The Truth that lies within BACKSTREET BOYS' Music

Around the world the phenomenon of music comes from a particular music group... the Backstreet Boys. They have struck the world by huge demand proving themselves as more then just pretty faces, with luck in their pockets. With their amazing ability of vocal talent they have illustrated how they can indeed sing with emotion and truthÂ…
From fan to fan, female to female, male to male the reasoning for why they like them is quite different. Majority of all fans like them for their talent, there's a lot that have been drawn to their physical appearance, and then there's the people who have been attracted towards the touching lyrics in their songs.
There have been many girls who have received a lot of emotional strength for the reasoning of liking the Backstreet Boys. Many have had the music help them through a parents divorce, others through a deadly disease such as cancer, and then there's a fan in particular that I have in mind.
She received a strength and belief for the future through their music, which is quite un-explainable.
Just like most fans, it was the music that attracted her to have further interest in the Backstreet Boys.
With living through hard times, and being rather different then most people around her, she turned to the music. Popularity had not come in storm for the BSB at that point, their music was just starting to be recognized, and she relied on the lyrics for emotional strength. Much of the lyrics provided messages of true love, broken hearts, strength for the future and ect.
But just as everyone has a different opinion on any and all subjects out in the world, everyone can depict different meaning from the lyrics.
As time was passing by, the BSB were becoming more popular and more music was coming out. And her interest in them became more and more strong. It was because of the Backstreet Boys, that she met one of her closest friends ever, people that had more then just the fact they both like BSB in common. Other issues came involved and helped her out emotionally.
Friendships now that will end up lasting life times, emotions that grew through the lyrics of the song.
It was even through the fact of the interest of BSB that she fell in love. It was not a fantasized love with one of the members of the group, but a real individual who helped her out extremely with her emotional part. She slowly grew in the relationship with this particular individual, if it weren't for the making of the BSB, she would have NEVER met this person. Even though he ended up breaking her heart dearly, putting her through more pain, she was taught someone that is very hard to find.. she was indeed taught the meaning of REAL LOVE, and in the long runÂ…it may just come back into her live with that same individual. Though if it weren't through the interest of the BSB, she would have never been taught true love, or became emotionally stronger, or dealt with the great ache of a broken heart. Yet after all that, the music helped her slowly and probably still in ways is helping her amend the heart. Though as all know there's no real cure for a broken hear... Except belief and hope for the future.
But going on...
As many people taunt and laugh at the fact of many of the BSB fans, we have to make the public eye realize what depth the interest of BSB has on many fans. Many of the BSB fans get criticized as being psychos and stalkers, when in reality we are people who have been helped in so many ways because of our interest in their music.
They've brought people who have lost love, lost friends, and happiness, it all back again. As shocking as it is, so many of us have not even met them, but yet can be ever so thankful for their existence for the happiness they did bring into many lives because of their music.
The BSB have been proved to be more then just a music group, they have been to many a guided path to happiness and perhaps a path in making wiser choices for the future.
The truth that lies within the music of the Backstreet Boys is different for each individual out there. But for the most part they have been like miracles, for they do not attempt to make happiness, but it happens either way.
So all in all, it must be conclude to all the BSB fans, and the media, that in reality, as much as the BSB is a music group, they have been a helpful hand to many lost souls and frustrated emotions out there. For some that have no realized the meaning of the music, listen closely next time, it will give you a message to help you live through an occasion in your life. Let it be love, lost love, a broken heart, death, confusion or something else. But for you to be a true fan listen and you will have an answer to your un- replied question.

Nsync or BSB?

As a teenager, you find yourself facing many choices: academic life or social life, drugs or no drugs, sex or abstinence, Backstreet Boys or 'N Sync. Yes, that's right. Even if you don't think you'll ever have to choose between these two boy bands, you will one day find yourself at a party marauded by 12-year-old girls demanding to know which band is your favorite.

And with a decision as weighty as this, you should be prepared with information that will allow you to make the obvious choice (a.k.a. the Backstreet Boys).

Now let's not kid ourselves; Backstreet and 'N Sync songs are pretty much the same. You've got the fast, high-energy dance beats about "rocking your body" or "getting down" and the slow, sappy love songs about "never breaking your heart" or "God spending a little more time on yooouuuu." Neither band writes its own songs, of course, but both certainly have worthy songwriters who know how to crank out the right rhythms and rhymes.

None of the boys play their own instruments either, but as each group consistently declares, their voices are their instruments. If you want to get technical about songwriting, however, the boys of Backstreet have more credits to their name than the fellas of 'N Sync.

Backstreet's Brian Littrell has written the lyrics for several songs that are not too far below the standard that Max Martin has set for the pop industry; "The Perfect Fan" and "Larger Than Life" ("Millennium") and "That's What She Said" ("Backstreet's Back") are only some of the songs Brian has contributed to.

Backstreet's Kevin Richardson earned songwriting credits by contributing to "Back to Your Heart" ("Millennium"). That's not to say that 'N Sync members haven't done creative work on some of their songs, but the 'N Sync creative contributions don't match the Boys'.

Although the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync always remind their public that their music is what's most important, we all know that boy bands are much more about looks and appearance than music. And in the beauty-oriented world in which we live, the Backstreet Boys have got 'N Sync beat.

Even on their bad days, the Backstreet Boys are more appealing. Backstreet was created before 'N Sync, and as such, the Boys were formed from the cream of the Orlando, Fla., crop.

Granted, the members of 'N Sync have significantly improved their looks since their first self-titled album, but there's only so much that cosmetologists and personal stylists can do.

Although Justin Timberlake is the obvious Nick Carter equivalent in 'N Sync, no substitute can be made for America's top blond pin-up boy. At least Timberlake has stopped bleaching his hair.

The appeal of Backstreet's A.J. McLean is very different from Carter's. Where Carter is the wholesome boy-next-door, McLean is the rebellious hottie all the girls crave.

Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick are the designated crazy, bold members of 'N Sync - although the copies are not as good as the original.

Like McLean, Backstreet's Howie Dorough sports a Latin look with his darker skin, brown eyes and curly dark hair. (Dorough, however, would never be found with multicolored hairdos or tattoos all over his body.)

Lance Bass is partly the Dorough equivalent in 'N Sync, but Dorough is better looking.

Where Bass has a crooked smile that teeters on being a smirk, Dorough's seems genuine.

And in the boy band industry where you don't even know if your teen idol's favorite movie is truly his favorite movie, authenticity is of utmost importance.

Brian Littrell's counterpart in 'N Sync would also partly be Bass. Littrell's relaxed and gentle personality parallels Bass'. Littrell, however, also has another equivalent in 'N Sync: J.C. Chasez. As Chasez and Littrell are both the principal singers and more outspoken members of their bands, they are very similar to one another in terms of personality and role in the groups.

Then there's Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson, whose dark hair and sharp jawline render him classically handsome.

Yet even when we look beyond the appearances of both bands, the Backstreet Boys exude a level of maturity that 'N Sync has yet to achieve. Where the Backstreet Boys have matured from their "Get Down" and "If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself a Bad Boy)" Backstreet Boys days to more beautiful "I Want It That Way" and "The One" "Millennium" days, 'N Sync is still stuck in the teen pop world. Where "I Want It That Way" is more melodic and has been classified as soft-rock, "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gotta Be Me" is pure bubble-gum.

Furthermore, where the Backstreet Boys have performed with legitimate artists such as Sting and Tom Jones in VH1's Men Strike Back concert, 'N Sync has yet to perform in mature or established settings.

The Backstreet Boys' presentation is also more mature. Where 'N Sync revels in being wild and fun, the Backstreet Boys are more aware of their presentation in both physical appearances and personality. When 'N Sync members coordinate outfits for award shows or celebrity events, they always end up looking too trendy, as if they are trying a little too hard to appeal to their teenage audience.

Although both bands are musically similar, the maturity and good looks of the Backstreet Boys elevate them above the status of boy band from which 'N Sync is still trying to escape.

Howie D. Swears Off Marriage

Backstreet Boy Howie D. is insisting he will not marry, despite watching band mates Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell walk down the aisle.

Howie D. watched as Richardson married long-term girlfriend Kristin Willits in his hometown Lexington, Kentucky last month.

But the 26-year-old has reassured his female fans he has no plans to wed.

He says, "I used to say I wanted to get married by the time I was 30, but now that seems just around the corner. So I am saying I would like to get married between 35 and 40."

And the boy band member insists when he isn't working he enjoys "playing the field." -- WENN

LEXINGTON HERALD-LEADER
QUICK HIT: BACKSTREET BOY KEVIN RICHARDSON WEDS

Are you sitting down, BSB fans?

Kevin Richardson is officially off the market.

On Saturday, the Estill County Backstreet Boy married longtime girlfriend Kristin Willits, Richardson's brother Tim confirmed yesterday. The wedding was at Estill County's Cathedral Domain, the church camp that Richardson's late father, Jerald, used to manage.

It was a "beautiful, simple ceremony," Tim Richardson said, adding that it was free of paparazzi and circling helicopters.

Both of Richardson's brothers had special roles on Kevin's wedding day: Tim, a local minister, performed the ceremony; Jerald Jr. was the best man.

Among the guests were cousin Brian Littrell, who also announced his engagement earlier this year, and the three other Backstreet Boys: Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and A.J. McLean.

With an estimated 150 to 200 guests, it was an affair for mostly family and friends. The couple are expected to have a more public celebration later this year in Los Angeles.

Richardson, 27, had been dating Willits, a dancer, for "seven years, off and on," he told MTV in February.

Fans, who took the news of both Richardson's and Littrell's engagements hard, were coming to grips with yesterday's new announcement.

"Really?!?" said Clare Boyd, 13, a freshman at Lafayette. "Oh, every time I think about that I want to cry."

Why?

"Because I was gonna marry Brian. ..."

But, Kevin's the one who got married.

"I know, but I was gonna marry Brian, and then if Brian didn't work out I was gonna marry Kevin," she said, only partly joking. "But I guess Nick's still single, so. ..."

Calming herself down ("I just get all fluttery when I think about this"), Boyd came to this conclusion: "Well, I'm happy for him, I guess. ... I think all the girls are disappointed, but the true fans are going to be happy for him."

Through the grapevine, she has heard "that Kristin Willits is really nice."

Tim Richardson can verify that.

"They're two good people," he said. "Remove all the glamour and the fact that he's a Backstreet Boy, that they're in the entertainment industry, they're just two people who love each other.

"You want them to have a solid, committed marriage. That's the most important thing to them right now," he said. "Because when all the fame is gone, they will have each other."
