Us meeting some over-friendly horses!

Last summer we went on a weekend camp, we stayed in a Scout and Guide hut in the countryside just outside of Bristol. We don't always camp the traditional way although we do love camping in tents; sometimes you can have just as good a time in a nice warm hut with running water, toilets and showers!!

Our theme for the weekend was A Bug's Life, we made bug related crafts and even had bug pudding on the Sunday! (Don't worry no bugs were harmed, we had jelly bug sweets hidden in chocolate Angel Delight on a Digestive biscuit base- yum!)

It was really sunny all weekend and we took the opportunity to go for lovely long walks along the stream that ran past the hall. In one field we met some really friendly horses. Some of us fed them grass and the horses then stuck their noses into Captain's bag thinking she had sugar or food in it! They followed us right across the field, they were so big that some of us (who are not used to horses) got a bit spooked!

We went swimming at a leisure centre on the Saturday and had a barbecue in the evening followed by a game of Rounders in a field until it got dark. We had a great weekend.
