This is what we did for our Beauty Theme Evening:-

 

You will need:- 1 Banana (per Guide) 1 tbsp Honey 5 tbsp Oatmeal

What to do:- 1. Mash the banana well with a fork 2. Add the honey and the Oatmeal 3. Mix all the ingredients together until they form a soft paste 4. Apply the mixture all over the face- except for the areas around the eyes- and leave in place for about 15 minutes. (It will tingle slightly but don't worry! It's working!) 5. Rinse off (or scoop off, try not to block up any sinks!) with lukewarm water before patting your face dry with a towel.

Give each Guide a plain envelope and get them to write their names on the front.

In Patrols pile the empty envelopes together and give them a sheet of paper each.

Each Guide has to SECRETLY write something nice about every girl in their Patrol, this can be anything positive about them e.g. "Amy you have a lovely smile", "Amy you are a good listener" or "Amy you have beautiful eyes" but they must not sign it.

Gather up the papers in Patrols (or you can get very mixed up, especially if you have several people of the same name) with the envelopes and sort accordingly so that each Guide has an envelope full of nice things that people have said about them. (Hint:- This is best done by Guiders so that the process remains secret, also it means that any comments that might be taken in the wrong way won't get into the envelopes.)

At the end of the evening as the Guides leave they can take home their envelope and whenever they feel down about themselves they have plenty of reminders as to how special they are.
