The last badge that we worked on together as a unit was the
World Guiding Badge. As well as covering the syllabus we also
played games from other countries and ate lots of sweets and chocolate
from different places- all in the name of World Guiding you understand!!
Here are some of the things that we did.
Sheep Game
This game comes from New Zealand and is very silly, but fun.
Choose one Guide to be "it", all of the others are
sheep. Everyone runs around and when a Guide is caught she lies
on the floor with her legs dangling in the air making worried
sheep sounds. Someone else can free her by holding a limb and
saying "She'll be alright mate" in as a good a New Zealand
accent as possible. You have to stop the game occasionally to
change the person who's "it".

Taps in French
Singing taps in another language was on the syllabus, we sang
taps in French:-
C'est la nuit
Tout se tait
Sur la plaine, les collines et les bois;
C'est la paix
Tout est bien
Et Dieu vient.

WAGGGS Badge Beetle
We made our own game with the WAGGGS badge to help us to remember
the different bits of it. We drew the badge onto an A4 piece of
gold card and then cut it out. We also cut out a badge sized blue
circle for the background. We then played beetle with it. Each
Guide had to throw a 6 first to get the blue background, the a
1 for the gold rim then the pieces went as follows:-
6- Background
5- Compass needle
4- Stars
3- Trefoil
2- Feu
1- Gold rim
The first Guide to complete her WAGGGS badge wins!

Mexican Football
The Guides make a circle and a large drinks bottle is placed
as the goal in the middle. One Guide is in goal, she has to stop
the goal from being knocked over, the Guides in the circle kick
a ball and try to knock it over. The Guide who kicks the ball
that gets the goalie out replaces her. (You can slightly fill
the bottle if it keeps falling over but if the girl in goal knocks
it over with her own foot she is still out and you must choose
someone else to be in goal)
