Mildred T. Taylor, 88, of Norris, died Tuesday in Regency Health Care Center.

The daughter of Beverly and Bertha England Trantham, she was born Sept. 30, 1906, in Brevard, NC. Mrs. Taylor moved to Norris in 1985 to live with her daughter, Ann Hunsucker. She was a member of Belmont First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Preston R. Taylor; and a son, Tony Taylor.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Hunsucker of Norris and Gay Morrison of Hartsville, SC; sons, Preston R. Taylor Jr. of Gastonia, NC and Dr. Ben Taylor of Inman, SC; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Trantham; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Thursday in Belmont First Baptist Church, Belmont, NC. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
