Dealis Taylor, 72, of Oliver Springs died Friday, April 19, 1996 in his home.
Mr. Taylor was a retired miner, a World War II veteran and member of Little Community Baptist Church, Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Irona Anderson Taylor.
Survivors are his wife, Billie R. Taylor of Oliver Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie T. and Willard Jackson; Lois and Jackie Hooks of Clinton; Mary and Homer Bean of Oliver Springs; Glenna and Charles Rhines of Oliver Springs; Janet and Jeff Aytes of Lancing and Lisa and David Smith of Oliver Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Betty Taylor of Oliver Springs; brothers, Robert and Harold Shelly of Oliver Springs; sister, Linda Lowe of Coalfield; 22 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Family received friends 6-9 pm Sunday, April 22, in Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.
Funeral service was 2 pm Monday, April 22, in Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Oliver Springs, with the Rev. Charles Webb, Rev. Homer Bean and Rev. Tommy Hensley officiating. Mr. Taylor laid in state 1-2 pm.
Graveside service was conducted by East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard.
