Bessie Irene Taylor, 86, Rt. 3, Clinton, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 8, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by husband, Cecil Taylor. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Coleman and Mrs. Mary Lane, both of Clinton; three grandchildren, James A. “Al” Coleman of Clinton; James H. “Buster” Lane of Oak Ridge and Michael Taylor Lane of Chattanooga.

She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Tyler Lane, Dustin Coleman and Victoria Coleman; three brothers, Clifton Brock, Ralph Brock, and Joe Brock, all of Clinton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Burial was this morning at 11 am at the Sunset Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
