Alice Taylor




Alice Taylor, 76, of the Marlow community, Clinton Rt. 5, died Monday at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Lee Taylor, on March 31, 1992.

She was the last survivor of eight children of the late William T. and Nannie Crawford Hill.

Mrs. Taylor was an active member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church and had been a Magnet Mill employee before it was closed. She later became a cook at Marlow Elementary School.

A favorite sport was baseball and she enjoyed following her grandson in sports. A son, Alvin Taylor, is baseball coach at Clinton High School.

Survivors includes the son and a daughter-n-law, Alvin and Diane Taylor of Clinton; grandson, Casey Taylor of Clinton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 am at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
