Pauline M. Vowell Tackett, 69, of Lake City died Thursday at her home. She was of the Baptist faith.
Born Dec. 16, 1926 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of Albert and Bessie O’Dell Vowell.
Mrs. Tackett enjoyed flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Elbert Hatmaker, Millard Hatmaker and Clyde E. Vowell; and a brother-in-law, Hubert Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Floyd Tackett of Lake City; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Charles Hazelwood of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary S. and Sharon W. Tackett of Caryville; Chris A. and Naomi Tackett of Oliver Springs; granddaughter, Stephanie K. Tackett of Caryville; sisters, Lola Adkins and husband, Ulis; Nevaline Jennings and husband, Kenneth and Wanda Wilson, all of Lake City, and Mary Renner and husband, Cliff of Evansville, IN; brothers Charles Vowell and wife, Dorothy, and Murrell Vowell and wife, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hatmaker and Jeanette Vowell, all of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Saturday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifford Fraker and Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
