Helen Mae Stringer, 69,
Clinton, died Sunday
March 17, 1996, in her daughter's residence.
Mrs. Stringer was
retired from Greenbrier
Company. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She was
preceded in death
by her parents, Lacy B. and Mandy Seiber Adkins; husband, Oda Stringer;
and brother, Namon L.
Adkins.
Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Fred
Weaver and Pam and Don
Martin, all of Clinton; sons, Larry Stringer of Cape Coral, Fla., and
Steve Stringer of Claxton;
grandchildren, Michael, Cammie, Eddy, Steven, Stephanie, Justin and
Blake; great-grandchildren,
Jason and Allison; sisters, Gladys Ruth Nichols of Goldsboro, N.C., and
Dorothy Crowley of Clinton; a
half-sister, Odessa Byrge of Coalfield; and several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services
were conducted 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in Holley Gamble Funeral Home
with Rev. Donney
Disney and Rev. David Crowley officiating.
Graveside services were
11 a.m. Wednesday,
March 20, in Pleasant View Cemetery, Clinton. Family received friends
7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March
19, in Holley Gamble Funeral Home chapel.
