The best way that I experience wonder and awe in God's creation in this world is on a beautiful, cool summer night out on a trampoline gazing up at the stars. Just the relaxation and general peacefulness of the whole situation is enough to make anyone's jaw drop at the serenity of it all. Ive done this numerous times, during which I will attempt to name off all of the constellations that I can possibly think of. Once I made up the "massive dipper" just because I was inable to find either the big or little dipper. In the ending days of summer I can lay out on my hammock and listen to the Oakville High School Band practicing or their football games being played seeing as OHS is practically in my backyard. To be able to extract the fullness of the potential awe inspiring experiances of stargazing, you have to wear bug spray or long pants and shirts so the bugs dont annoy you and take your attention off of the heavens above.
This causes me to experience so much wonder and awe because it is one of the best ways to view God's creation at its best. You are able to more fully see and grasp the vastness of space and the earth around you and counting the stars makes you realize just how small we really are. But in that realization, you can appreciate God's love for you even more in that He loves you no matter what even though you are so small. The main reason that stargazing on a summer night elicits wonder and awe from me is because I feel God's prescence most when I am at absolute peace and that is exactly the feeling i receive during stargazing. I forget all my troubles and worries and am able to enjoy mother nature at her fullest.
