The Once More With Feeling Award This category is for a story that either filled in a missing scene, or completely rewrote a scene/episode/season of BTVS or ATS. (What we wanted to see happen on the show.) The Tabula Rasa Award This is the award for the best AU story. It can be all human, or it can still include slayers and vampires, as long as it does not follow canon. The Becoming Award This category is for the best WIP. The story must already have a developing plotline and show great potential. (All WIP's must have at least five chapters in order to be nominated.) The Hush Award This is for the story that had you on the edge of your seat, the nail biter, the one that scared the crap outta you. Fight scenes, near death experiences, lots of vampire and/or ghost encounters... Any story with great suspense/action is perfect for this category. The Smashed Award This category is for the story with the best smut. Nuff said. (PWP's are welcome). The Something Blue Award This category is for those funny/fluffy, light-hearted fics. Happy endings are a must. The Fool for Love Award This category is for the best romantic fiction (the story that made you say "Awww...") The Passion Award This is the award for the best emotional/dramatic fic. Simply put, the author must know how to express character emotion in their writing. And if it makes us cry, that's even better. The Dead Things Award If you're nominating a dark story with a lot of evil, violence, and/or character death, etc., then this is the place for you. This category recognizes the fic with the best angst. (Stories in this category may still have a somewhat happy ending, so long as the journey is filled with lots of angst. eg: Stories that are nominated for this award shouldn't be able to fit into the Something Blue category, and vice-versa) The Chosen Award This category is for the story with the best plot. Is there a fic that you keep wanting to read over and over again? If it's intriguing, if it's original, and if it's just a damn awesome story, then nominate it here! The Chosen Award will be divided into two sub-categories; one for long fictions (stories with MORE than 10,000 words), and one for short fictions (stories with Less than 10,000 words.) There will be a total of 4 awards given out for the Chosen category (assuming, of course, that there are at least 4 nominees in each subcategory.)
