It
begins in 1964 when I was just married and we were having our
house built and this little red dog needed a home as his owner was
going to New Guinea to teach. Three month old Brutus came into our
lives. He was a little stafford who really should not have
survived, but he did. He was born with a harelip and a cleft
palate. Brutus lived for 13 years and he was our real introduction
to the breed. In 1968 I decided to go into showing and eventually
breeding. Back then staffords were rare in Australia (things have
certainly changed). I obtained my first bitch CH. KILLIBINBIN STAR
GIRL from the Eling's in South Australia as a three month old pup.
They were hard to sell in those days. Bess, as we named her is my
foundation bitch and I am proud to say ALL Borstaff stock has her
in there pedigree. The rest of my story is history. I have been
very lucky and have achieved a lot in my years with staffords.
With a record hard to beat at specialty shows, with 10 BEST in
SHOW awards and at least 18 Runner Up BEST in Show or Opposite Sex
in Show. |
