Hey everyone! It's great to see the different paths everyone has taken! After camp I took a slightly different route, and I graduated from the University of Utah in 1997 with a masters in Accounting - emphasis in taxation. I've been with Deloitte & Touche (national accounting firm) for 9 years and am currently a Senior Tax Manager. I've been married for almost 10 years and have one daughter, Avery Lynn, who was born in December 2003. Life is busy, and I still look back to NYSC with great memories! Keep in touch! (7-05)

Hi all -- Here's the short blurb. I'm happy. I graduated with a BA from Smith College in 1997, got to serve on staph during 1994 and 1995, married Duncan Marriott (VT92, staph 94, 95) in 1999, and got my MS in geology from University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2000. I'm a geologist for the state of Alaska, and its lots of fun. Here's my email, would love to hear from NYSC-ers! cheryl_cameron@dnr.state.ak.us (4-02)

So the topic of "I can eat glass" came up in my office today, and I said something like "yeah, I know the guy who started that". Then proceeded to google for Ethan, and found this page. I graduated from MIT in 1997, and have lived in Cambridge, MA, ever since. For the past two years I've been working at a software company called Endeca. Feel free to email me (tryanc@gmail.com) if you're in the area, are looking for a job in software, or just want to say hi. (10-06)

Nikki Clemente MA93 Pic
Hi All!! It sure has been awhile and a lot has happened since 1993. I will try to keep it brief. I graduated from Holy Cross in Worcester, MA in 1996 with a BA in Biology. From there I taught high school science for two years and did research at UMass Medical Center. In 1999, I decided to make a career change (sort of). I went back to school (UConn in Storrs, CT) to get my MA in Latin American Studies. I will finish in May 2001. Then it is off to DC from some summer intern positions and back to UConn in the fall to do my PhD in Political Science. Feel free to email me, I have lost contact with quite a few of you and would love to hear how you are doing. (5-01)

Bryant Crisp NC93 Pic
I can't believe NYSC was eight years ago! After camp, I went on to attend North Carolina State University (Go Pack!). Since that time, I have been teaching junior English at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC. Over the last couple of years, I have also been doing a great deal of work with the College Board, doing workshops nationally and managing to collaborate on a Pacesetter textbook. One of my essays and one of my poems (Mike Ritthaler, you changed the way I write!) even made the cut! Best of all, my wife and I celebrated the birth of our first child, Garrett Bryant Crisp, on April 4, 2001. I would love to hear from you guys! E-mail me at rbcrisp@bellsouth.net. (7-01)

Amy Crout Ziegler KY93 Pic
Hope everyone is doing well. I am still working in Chicago as an intellectual property attorney at DLA Piper (same firm as Kisha). If you are ever in Chicago, please look me up. My contact information is on the firm's website. (1-08)

I am 2 weeks from graduating from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, NY with my MD. I matched in psychiatry and will begin training at UC San Francisco in June. Regarding my personal life, I have been seeing the same great guy for three years, and we will be moving together to SF at the end of May. (4-05)

Hope everyone is well. Haven't kept up with everyone, so thought I would give an update. I went to UN-L for a bachelors in mechanical engineering and completed a co-op with General Motors in Fort Wayne, IN. After graduation, I took a job with Caterpillar working product development and design. I've been in the Peoria, IL area for 7 years and am now married with a family of my own. Eleven years later, and it still feels like I was hiking for 11 miles in the rain yesterday! I graduated from Johns Hopkins in 1997 with a BS in Biomedical/Chemical Engineering. Somehow I ended up in medical school and graduated from the Univ of Florida College of Medicine in 2001. Currently I'm a resident in Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Woohoo! First update in 2007! And man, is that pic of me um...shall we say, unflattering? LOL--gotta love the vanity and subsequent humbling involved in Googling myself just now. But it was great to read up on what people have been up to, even if some of the posts are old. Anyway, about me: I too followed the medical career path...undergrad and med school at Creighton, then to Akron, OH, for my ob/gyn residency, now in the DC area (work at Georgetown, live in Arlington) for my fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine. Gawd, does the learning ever end? Kidding. I wax nostalgic about NYSC all the time, especially living sorta near WV and also seeing the various DC monuments we visited way back then. Drop me a line if you're ever in my neck of the woods. (8-07)

Darren Glass GA93 Pic
Life is good...progress is being made on my dissertation, and hopefully in May 2002 I will have a PhD in mathematics from the university of pennsylvania. I'm also getting married this summer, and still loving life in Philadelphia...if you're ever in the area, drop me a note as I'd love to hear from/see you! (1-01)

Just realized it's been 2 years since I updated - eek! I'm finally done with my neurology residency and a fellowship in multiple sclerosis. At last I have joined the wonderful world of private practice here in Denver. Email me if you're in town or if you just want to talk. I still miss those summers at NYSC as a delegate and on Staph when I'm slaving away in the hospital. kgraesser@msn.com (8-08)

After NYSC I attended Bethany College and Doane College and graduated with a BA 1997. At this point, I accepted a job at Bethany and returned to Lindsborg. In December 1999, I completed the requirements for another degree and someday soon will probably be going back to the classroom. In July of 2000 I suddenly decided to move back to NEBRASKA. I am currently the Housing and Student Activities Coordinator for the Columbus Campus of Central Community College in Columbus Nebraska. Still not married, but I have met Mr. Right Now and am enjoying life in a small town and taking some time to travel. In May, we cruise to the Bahamas. I would love to hear from you all. ahays@cccneb.edu (4-01)

During college, I spent two great summers ('95 and '96) on staph, working with the music program. I graduated from Duke in '97 with degrees in design and art history, and went to London for a few months to study theater. After that, I moved to Jersey City, NJ and worked as a graphic and exhibit designer for Liberty Science Center, a large science museum right across from the World Trade Center. I did some professional theater, then a brief stint as an art director for a dot-com in Manhattan. Now I'm in western NJ where I own my own freelance web consulting business. I also have a full-time web design job at a web solutions company located in an 18th-century farmhouse. It's been a busy few years and I've landed in a great place - think I'll be here for a while. If you're ever in NJ, please drop me a line! (7-00)

Hi Everbody! Just thought I'd finally drop a line to say what's up and see how y'all are doing. I completed my B.S. at WPI in 1997. I did a double major of Mechanical Engineering and Theater. However, for the past 2 years, I have been working as an architectural drafter. I'm debating right now on whether to go into math education or actually get a degree in architecture. The biggest news as of late is I am engaged to Kris Pearson of Naples, Maine. We plan to be married in September 2002. I hope this finds everyone in good health and spirit. Feel free to email me (louise@gweep.net). I'd love to hear from you! (4-01)

Hey Suketo! How's life? How are you doing? How's Pittsburgh? I was there for my cousin's wedding in 2005 actually. It's not bad. Drop me a line if you get time. I still have your postcard from after camp. Hi Stephen, Barbara, Himanshu, Jen Lin, Grace and everyone else. How is everyone? I'm in a lull period right now having finished an important job and would love to catch up or chat online/ over the phone. My e-mail is shinemay@hotmail.com. Any one out there? If so and if interested please drop me a line! (6-06)

Hello all! I hope everyone is well. If you want to catch up with me, check out my web page: http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~andrewsh/. Back in 2003-2004 I completed my Ph.D., enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve, got married, and got a job. That was a lot all at once, but now things have settled down. Best wishes, Andrew (4-06)

I don't want to miss any chance to put private information on the internet. =) I am currently in my third year of medical school in North Dakota. I am interested in Pediatrics, but don't hold me to that. I just recently (12/18/99) got married to my wonderful wife Elizabeth who is an English teacher. I feel like a bum for not being on "Staph" like the others, but I was a counselor last summer at a Junior High summer science camp. Does that count? (1-00)

Hello everyone! Hello everyone! Well, I finished my Chemical Engineering degree from UMass, Amherst in 1997. I was lucky enough to be able to serve on Staph in '94 and '95. Unfortunately, I felt compelled to get a year-round job, and I've been working for Hewlett-Packard in San Diego, CA since graduation. I was married in '00, and we are the proud parents of a dog since '02. I'm planning the NYSCAA reunion for August '04 which will be happening in San Diego! Check out www.nyscaa.org for updates- the registration form will be posted soon! Hope to see you! (5-04)

Kirby Lee IN93 Pic
I graduated from law school in 2003 and have been clerking for a few years. This fall, I'll be a trial attorney for the Department of Justice, Intellectual Property Section. As excited as I am about that, it'll be hard to top the fun I had on Staph in '94 and '97. When I'm not thinking about work, I find time for photography and music, including bluegrass and old-time. Visit me or drop me a line at www.kirbylee.com. Let me know if ever you're in the DC area! (8-06)

Left my college teaching gig for greener pastures (haven't found them yet). Considering a move to Washington DC for employment (but dreading life near a big city). I saw Kirby Lee back in August 2005 (he's working in DC), but other than that not much news. I sailed aboard a World War II Landing Ship Tank for 60 days in summer of 2005 as a volunteer crewmember when we gave tours of the ship up and down the east coast (from Mobile, AL to Boston). A flat-bottomed ship - so it rolls like the devil. Would love to hear from any of you if the mood strikes (I do travel as much as I can across the US, so you would be surprised where I can turn up sometimes - Buffalo, WY; Dupuyer, MT; Chinle, AZ; Valentine, NE; Yoakum, TX; - if you wouldn't mind a visitor for an afternoon or an evening, let me know - I may just show up sometime.
