rendering time about 42 hours!!
camera lens 50mm
special effects ultrashock, DNT

the project included two phases. phase 1: modeling the watcher holding a telescope. phase 2 : modeling the whole scene and integrating both of them.  u can see the phase one result in the [ poser ] page.   it  was done after the test shot above.  vastly  time-consuming when trying out everything by myself.     sometimes  merely one effect  would take me one whole afternoon to make it look correct.   and  the scene was so large that made my machine  an ancient 286.  usually a view port refresh would take 4 or 5 seconds,  so i disabled as many view ports as possible when working.  god !  i am gonna get me a dual-processor computer, well, someday maybe :P

the same  scene,  different  setup.  usually the rendering time doesn't take so long.  it's that raytracing stuff.   like radiocity method,  the  raytracing  takes extra time  to  calculate each beam of light from the source projecting to the view screen.  and  i got an OCEAN here !   it means that millions of faces needed to be processed.
