Company A - Roster

The "Clay Dragoons"

Company A, the "Clay Dragoons" from Bedford County, was organized in 1857. They enrolled at Liberty on May 11 and were sworn into State service at Lynchburg on May 13. Captain William R. Terry, a V. M. I. Graduate, led this troop.
