I don't at all care for the acoustic songs on this bootleg; they're one of the reasons I acquired a copy of this show not from soundboard (this show is sourced from the soundboard). The reason is that Bob's guitar is turned up too high in the mix and you can just barely hear the other instruments (and sometimes even Bob's voice) in the acoustic songs; when Bob plays his guitar solos on Hard Times, they're pretty much all you hear. There is a dropout during Hard Times, as mentioned below. The sound gets a bit distorted every so often, and this is what caused the sound quality letter grade to drop from an A to an A-. It's hard to say whether I'd recommend this soundboard version of the show or the audience version; it depends on your preference, I guess. The show's great and so the medium of recording is really up to you.
There is some 'tape hiss' in the background. There are also some gaps between some tracks, as mentioned below. It's hard to say whether I'd recommend the soundboard version of the show or this audience version; it depends on your preference, I guess. The show's great and so the medium of recording is really up to you.
02/08/93 London, England ("Apollo Landing") : A- (B+/A-)
This is a very good show from early '93. There are many nice songs. On the filler, we have what must be one of the most bizarre Don't Think Twice's, as it falls apart: it opens with a bass solo by Tony (which probably wasn't planned!) and then falls apart several times. Anyway, this is a stunning audience recording (since it was from '93).

04/19/93 Huntsville, Alabama ("Hard Times In Alabama") : B+ (B+/A-)
This is a very solid show, with three songs from Good As I Been To You, and one more as filler. It's interesting to hear such long instrumental jams as well as Bucky Baxter on an accordion! Shelter From The Storm is pretty good. At the end of disc 2 track 8, Bob seems to interact with the audience...it's rather interesting. The filler also has the live debut of Series Of Dreams, as well as the excellent Willie Nelson birthday tribute songs.
Disc 1:
1. Hard Times (acoustic) (Bucky Baxter on accordion) - written by Stephen Foster

- Tracks 11-12 are from 04/28/93 The Big Six-O (for Willie Nelson), Austin, Texas
06/29/93 Marseille, France ("Hard Times In Marseille") : A- (A-/A-)
In this show, there are a lot of instrumental jams (or whatever you want to call them) so that every song exceeds six minutes but three. This is one of my favourite Shelter From The Storm's - it's unbelievable (Bob does forget some words and I don't care for the ending, but it's still unbelievable!). Watching The River Flow is also very good; the music sounds a bit like something by Johnny Cash at times, and there's an awesome slide guitar in it as well.
Disc 1:
1. Hard Times (acoustic) (Bucky Baxter on accordion) - written by Stephen Foster - dropout from 2:10-2:11
2. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again

08/21/93 Seattle, Washington : B+ (B/B+)
This is a very good show with the acoustic set particularly standing out as being superb (the Don't Think Twice is very very good). This is the 22nd time Emotionally Yours has ever been played live and, as of April 09, 2002, the last time he's played it: Bob played it 15 times in '86, 5 times in '87, then 2 times in '93 (this being the second). Unfortunately, Bob can't remember hardly any of the lyrics.
Disc 1:
1. Hard Times (acoustic) (Bucky Baxter on concertina) - written by Stephen Foster - can't hear Bob at times (technical problem with Bob's mic?)
2. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again

5. Emotionally Yours (Bob on harp)
6. Watching The River Flow (Bucky Baxter on electric slide guitar) - sound moves more to left speaker from 3:51-4:07 and 4:30-4:49 - gap at end

WOW! What a way to start off a show! You're Gonna Quit Me is awesome! This is in great soundboard quality and the show itself is wonderful. I And I is great, and I like Blackjack Davey as well. Unfortunately, To Ramona is cut short, but this is on the original bootleg. The show I have here is actually from a bootleg called "Great Woods", but mine is missing the filler. This show closes with a great It Ain't Me, Babe.
Disc 1:
1. You're Gonna Quit Me (acoustic) (Bob on harp) - written by unknown (traditional)
2. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again
3. All Along The Watchtower
4. Under The Red Sky
5. I And I
6. Watching The River Flow
7. Blackjack Davey (acoustic) - written by unknown (traditional)

2. Boots Of Spanish Leather (acoustic) (Bob on harp)

11/16/93-11/17/93 Supper Club ("First Supper + Second Supper") : A (B/A)
The Supper Club shows were four shows over two nights in which Bob performed all sorts of rarities and he gave a very solid performance. These shows are highly recommended. It's a shame that this is the best recording we have of these shows because there is some audience chatter and noise throughout. Although the songs are all acoustic, Bucky Baxter adds a nice touch with either the electric slide guitar or the pedal steel guitar in all of the songs. Most every song sung at these shows was very rare for the year '93. The letter grade in brackets next to the disc number before the review is the performance quality letter grade. The sound quality rating is in brackets next to the source of the songs on each disc.
Disc 1 ("A"): I'm tempted to write that this show is unbelievable but, well, they all are! Wow. This show has the acoustic live debuts of Absolutely Sweet Marie, Lay Lady Lay, Queen Jane Approximately, Tight Connection To My Heart, Disease Of Conceit, and I Want You. It also has the live debut of Blood In My Eyes. And I really don't know what to say the highlights are...they're all so great.
Disc 1:
11/16/93 Early show, The Supper Club, New York City, New York: ("B")
1. Absolutely Sweet Marie (acoustic)
2. Lay, Lady, Lay (acoutic)
3. Blood In My Eyes (acoustic) (live debut of this song from World Gone Wrong) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)
4. Queen Jane Approximately (acoutic)
5. Tight Connection To My Heart (acoutic) (Bob on harp)
6. Disease Of Conceit (acoutic) (Bob on harp)
7. I Want You (acoutic) (Bob on harp)
8. Ring Them Bells (acoustic)
9. My Back Pages (acoustic)
10. Forever Young (acoustic)
Disc 2 ("A"): This show opens with the live debut of Ragged And Dirty and, later on, Jack-A-Roe gets its live debut. John Jackson uses the banjo for both Jack-A-Roe and One Too Many Mornings.
Disc 2:
11/16/93 Late show, The Supper Club, New York City, New York: ("B+")
1. Ragged And Dirty (acoustic) (live debut of this song from World Gone Wrong) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)
2. Lay, Lady, Lay (acoustic)
3. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (acoustic) (Bob on harp)
4. Queen Jane Approximately (acoustic)
5. Jack-A-Roe (acoustic) (John Jackson on banjo) (live debut of this song from World Gone Wrong) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)
6. One Too Many Mornings (acoustic) (John Jackson on banjo) (Bob on harp)
7. I Want You (acoustic) (Bob on harp)
8. Ring Them Bells (acoustic) - mic bump? at 3:50 (this is on original)
9. My Back Pages (acoustic)
10. Forever Young (acoustic)
Disc 3 ("A"): This show features the rare One More Cup Of Coffee. Every so often, Bucky's pedal steel or an increase in volume causes a bit of distortion in the sound (such as during One More Cup Of Coffee and Queen Jane Approximately).
Disc 3:
11/17/93 Early show, The Supper Club, New York City, New York: ("B")
1. Ragged And Dirty (acoustic) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)
2. One More Cup Of Coffee (acoustic)
3. Blood In My Eyes (acoustic) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)
4. Queen Jane Approximately (acoustic)
5. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (acoustic)

7. I Want You (acoustic) (Bob on harp)
8. Ring Them Bells (acoustic)
9. My Back Pages (acoustic)
10. Forever Young (acoustic)
Disc 4 ("A"): This show has the live debut of Weeping Willow as well as the acoustic debuts of I Shall Be Released and Delia. Actually, this is probably the best show of the Supper Club shows because Bob's in top form and the setlist is awesome.
Disc 4:
11/17/93 Late show, The Supper Club, New York City, New York: ("B-")
1. Ragged And Dirty (acoustic) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)
2. Lay, Lady, Lay (acoustic)

11/16/93 (evening) Supper Club soundboard : A (A/A)
Finally, one of the great Supper Club shows is circulating in soundboard! And this has got to be one of the best soundboards around right now: it's very well mixed with every instrument being extremely distinct. It also doesn't lack where some soundboards do by sounding canned or enclosed: the audience can be heard and it sounds very lively. This is also a great show to have: debuts of Ragged And Dirty and Jack-A-Roe, One Too Many Mornings with banjo, among other gems. I highly recommend this show, and let us hope that the other three Supper Clubs circulate as soundboards soon...
1. Ragged And Dirty (acoustic) (live debut of this song from World Gone Wrong) - written by unknown (traditional - arranged by Bob Dylan)

8. Ring Them Bells (acoustic)
9. My Back Pages (acoustic)
10. Forever Young (acoustic) - small skip at 1:52
"As Good As Bob's Been To Me" : A- (B+/A-)
This is a compilation of live Good As I Been To You and World Gone Wrong songs, put together by Kurt Hoffman. The song selections are all very good, making this disc a very nice listen. Oh and I don't know what it means by the last four tracks being 'bonus' tracks, but I'd guess it's because they're songs which have already been represented on the disc.
