Wow...the first show since Love And Theft and since the September 11th events. And Bob debuts 4 songs from the new album (Tweedle Dee And Tweedle Dum, Summer Days, Sugar Baby, Honest With Me)! The opener, Wait For The Light To Shine, is also a live debut. Bob gets some really good phrasing into Desolation Row, but he really starts to his full potential with You're A Big Girl Now. And Sugar Baby is so very incredible...I can't even try to explain it. All Along The Watchtower is pretty good, too. For Arthur Louie's excellent review, click here.

The first track is 1:30 or so of the opening classical music, and I love it when tapers leave this on the CD! It makes me feel as though I was there...and, for this show, I was!!! :-) Wait For The Light To Shine is a great opener, despite Bob messing up most of the verses! Highlights for me are: To Ramona, Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You, Moonlight, Sugar Baby, and To Be Alone With You. This is Moonlight's live debut and although Bob's phrasing isn't the best for this song, his harmonica is unbelievable! Bob's vocals are very upfront on this recording! My review for this show can be found here.

Like the show before it in Corvallis, Bob is on fire starting with the second song - this Mr. Tambourine Man is incredible! This show also has the live debut of Mississippi, and it's pretty well done. Other highlights include a nice Visions Of Johanna with harmonica, and Sugar Baby. The recording starts off a bit rough, but almost instantly recovers (before Bob even starts singing!).

This show has the live debut of Cry A While. It also has a bunch of other great songs: Song To Woody, Things Have Changed, Summer Days, and Boots Of Spanish Leather. I Want You is rare, but I don't much care for how it's done here, though the harmonica solo is well done. This is a good show.

Unfortunately, both discs have only one track each with all the songs on this one track (there aren't any track divisions). Because of this, I have below included the time on the CD when a song starts so that they're easier to find. This show has the live debut of High Water, and it's fairly well done. The other highlights are: Summer Days, Sugar Baby, Drifter's Escape, and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. It's a pity that this isn't recorded with better sound, but I believe that this is the only publicly known recording of this show as of this review's date (November 22nd, 2001). Comparing this bootleg to the other one I have of the same show, the other has track divisions between songs but it also has some static pops. If you want to trade for this one, please identify it for me by calling it "10/19/01 Los Angeles, California (I)".

Unfortunately, some of the audience members are pretty upfront in the mix. Also, there are some pops on the last few tracks of both discs as mentioned below. Bob's phrasing's great at this show. This show has the live debut of High Water, and it's fairly well done. The other highlights are: Summer Days, Sugar Baby, Drifter's Escape, and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. Comparing this bootleg to the other one I have of the same show, the other doesn't have the static pops but it also doesn't have track divisions between songs. If you want to trade for this one, please identify it for me by calling it "10/19/01 Los Angeles, California (II)".

This is a phenomenal show, with Bob and the band just making every song a highlight. Bob's phrasing (though there are a few lyric flubs), the guitars, and everything else is really great at this show. This show has the live debut of Floater, which is nice. At the start of Tell Me That It Isn't True, Bob starts singing Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You! :) There are a few technical flaws as described below.
Disc 1:
1. Wait For The Light To Shine (acoustic) (Larry on mandolin) - written by Fred Rose
