11/01/00 Bloomington, Indiana : A (A-/A)
Although the sound quality gets a A-, this bootleg still overall gets an A for being just so awesome. Bob doesn't use the harmonica but don't let this discourage you from getting this bootleg; it's so good that it really doesn't need a harmonica (I hadn't even noticed there wasn't one until I typed out the setlist!).
Bob's in great form this show! He starts off with his delayed and pulled-out singing voice for Duncan And Brady, later he plays Hattie Carroll as a tribute to Steve Allen (though he forgets to mention this until after the 11th song!), he also plays a really awesome version of Country Pie, the newly arranged Tryin' To Get To Heaven, I Threw It All Away, an extremely awesome Cold Irons Bound (with incredible guitar playing), and then the encores have If Dogs Run Free, Blue Bonnet Girl, I Shall Be Released, and Blowin' In The Wind, which are all performed extremely well. Actually, this whole show's just great. He even introduces the band in a great way: "on the guitar is Larry...Campbell, on the other guitar is Charlie...Sexton, and on the drums tonight is David...Kemper, and Tony Garnier's on the bass."

11/04/00 Oxford, Ohio : A- (A/A-)
The sound quality's very good on this bootleg. One of the big attractions of this bootleg is that this is the second Chimes Of Freedom since '93. A solid Mr. Tambourine Man, the rare Chimes Of Freedom, and an overall good performance are the reasons to get this bootleg. Nothing too fancy here, but it's still a nice one to have. Bob's shows kept getting better towards the end of 2000, and this show's no exception.

This is a show I could have gone to, but some people talked me out of it... Anyway, Mama You Been On My Mind, Simple Twist Of Fate, and Cold Irons Bound are all great. Then G.E. Smith comes out for Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat. WOW! The songs with G.E. Smith on them are awesome! What a great guitarist! Things Have Changed and Like A Rolling Stone are both superbly done.

Bob delays and pulls-out the "been on the job, tooooo long" part in Duncan And Brady, and his phrasing for Mr. Tambourine Man is very VERY awesome (WOW)! Actually, his phrasing is remarkably good throughout the concert. The bass is a bit high on this bootleg, and there are extremely small gaps between each song (they are indescribably small - no letter grade is taken off for these). The sound sort of moves back and forth between speakers throughout the concert. There are a group of women(?) who decide to start screaming in unison every so often, and they might be a big annoying.

11/10/00 Boston, Massachusetts : A- (A-/A-)
Bob is using his delayed and pulled-out singing strategy for Duncan And Brady. Tomorrow Is A Long Time is done pretty well. There are three Time Out Of Mind songs (Standing In The Doorway, Tryin' To Get To Heaven, and Cold Irons Bound) done this concert (all three are pretty good). At one point in Tryin' To Get To Heaven, Bob's vocals move to one speaker but they then quickly (yet smoothly) move back to normal. Like A Rolling Stone sounds great because of the awesome crowd reaction (they cheer VERY loudly!). WOW, If Dogs Run Free and I Shall Be Released with the violin sound awesome!
Disc 1:
1. Duncan And Brady (acoustic) - written by unknown (traditional)
2. To Ramona (acoustic) (Larry on mandolin)
3. It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) (acoustic)

The live debut of 10,000 Men is here and, boy oh boy, does it ever sound good! The electric set is a highlight of this show, actually: Tell Me That It Isn't True, This Wheel's On Fire, Cat's In The Well...great stuff! There are a few small glitches in Tangled Up In Blue and If Dogs Run Free near the end of the last verse (a word or two is cut off for each glitch).

1. Duncan And Brady (acoustic) - written by unknown (traditional)
2. My Back Pages (acoustic) (Larry on fiddle) (Bob on harp)

11/18/00 (early) Atlantic City, New Jersey : A (A-/A)
This is the third last show of 2000, and it's great! He's still pulling out the "been on the job, tooooo long!" from Duncan And Brady. The acoustic set's good, but it's the electric set that's awesome. Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues and Cold Irons Bound are both very well done. This If Dogs Run Free is absolutely incredible. The lyrics are great, and he uses a very soothing, soft and cool voice.

11/19/00 Towson, Maryland (kid-version) : B (B/A)
This bootleg is famous for various reasons. First of all, it has one of the best Mr. Tambourine Man's ever! Bob just gets into the song and...well, words fail me... Secondly, this bootleg is famous because the taper brought a little girl. She can be heard throughout the concert. I do also possess the non-kid version, but thought I'd keep this one on my tradelist anyways. There are also, unfortunately, very small gaps between each track, and when the sound volume gets loud (on tracks such as 9,11,12) there's some static/distortion. Desolation Row is well done, as is Blind Willie McTell. After the "seeing the real you at last" (in the song by the same title), in the final few verses, Bob yells out "oh yeah!!!". The sound quality, if it didn't have the above problems, would be an A-. Because of the little kid, the static, and the gaps, I lowered it down to a B.

This bootleg is famous for various reasons. First of all, it has one of the best Mr. Tambourine Man's ever! Bob just gets into the song and...well, words fail me... Secondly, this bootleg is famous because it ISN'T the version in which the taper brought a little kid (see the above review). Desolation Row is well done, as is Blind Willie McTell. After the "seeing the real you at last" (in the song by the same title), in the final few verses, Bob yells out "oh yeah!!!". This is the last show from 2000, and it's a great way to end a great year.

Simply The Best - UK Highlights 2000 : B+ (B+/B+)
There is a fade-out and then a fade-in between each track (this is a compilation disc, so this is expected). I wonder about the title: "Simply The Best - UK Highlights 2000". The best? Sure, a lot of these tracks are superb (especially tracks 2,6,9), but then there are a bunch of the traditionals that Dylan sings which aren't really THAT great... The sound gets a bit distorted when the volume gets loud (this dropped the sound quality one letter grade).

European Fall 2000 Compilation ("Tomorrow Is Hard Enough") : B+ (B+/B+)
The sound quality varies throughout (after all, this is a compilation). There are some very nice songs on here (such as Delia, Man Of Peace, If Not For You, Highlands, and 'Til I Fell In Love With You - just to mention a few), however I have heard better versions of some of the songs on this compilation before. Disc 1 is all acoustic, disc 2 is all electric, disc 3 is a mixture of acoustic and electric, and disc 4 is the same. I found it odd that there isn't any harmonica until the end of disc 2. A problem with this compilation compared to the better compilations is that the transition between tracks isn't very smooth. Nonetheless, this is a nice compilation to put on and listen to. If there are any technical problems with a track, they are mentioned below.
