This strikes me as pretty good fishing but judging from observations of these otters later, this was a rather lucky day for them. I don't think merely through their group fishing techniques they can always catch this many fish.
Of course, otters do spend a great deal of time fishing alone, often breaking away from a group to see what they can find themselves. Two weeks later all three pups were fishing more or less independently. The mother also took them to a deeper pond.
