2. Halloween!!! Halloween will be held on october 1st. There will be a hay ride leaving the beach at 2:00 PM. Trick-or-treating will begin at dusk and following that there will be a campfire in the park.


MEETING NEWS...


Meeting held on July 22, 2000

Approximately 70 people enjoyed the potluck lunch prior to the annual meeting held at Sherman Township Hall.

President Tom Gross introduced three political candidates for Sherman Township.

The meeting of the Gladwin Blue Lake Association was officially opened at 1:00 PM. President Tom Gross introduced new members Tom and Karen Woligora. Gross also commented on several issues including 1)respect other landowners property, 2)obeying the speed limit, 3)Clark Park has been updated and the new sign installed, 4)inspection of the dam by Leon Cook.

Secretary's Report: Copies of the minutes from last annual meeting were read aloud. Bernie King moved that we accept the minutes from the last annual meeting. Second by Janet Carlson. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report: Treasurer Hank Richardson read the proposed budget for the 2000-2001 year. Vote by show of hands approved the 2000-2001 budget.

Old Business: Bernie King updated the association regarding the Streaked Lake lawsuit, noting that the judge ruled in favor on Blue Lake Association. Bernie has copies of the offical judgementif you would like to read it...

New Business: Fernando Suarez suggested that we place a sign on state land near the park stating "No Motorized Vehicles Permitted". He also suggested that the Lake Association celebrate "In Honor Of" living people instead of waiting until someone has passed away.

Comment was made that the John Snell family owns all mineral rights to Blue Lake Association. It would be nice if the Snell's would sell the mineral rights to the Blue Lake Association.

Bernie King stated that the brush along Ranch One Drive has been pushed farther down into the ravine. Please contact Bernie if you need help depositing brush.

Judy King asked the group "Should we have a Labor Day party again?" The answer was "Yes"! Donations for the party would be gladly accepted. Positive comments were also made about the Halloween Party.

Florence Clark thanked the association for the Clark Park sign and updates. She seemed to be very pleased.
