Seal   JOHN THOMAS MISNER Private Company H, 13th Maryland Infantry Third Great Grandfather John Thomas Misner was born October 1825 in Maryland, a son of Joseph Misner (born ca. 1797). A veteran of the 1st United States Artillery in the Mexican War, John T. Misner enlisted in 1861 with Co. H, 1st Potomac Home Brigade (Md.) Infantry which later became the 13th Maryland Infantry.
