Bluegrace PWD's

...Were at the Million Paws Walk, Melbourne, 2002

The Million Paws Walk is a charity event run by the RSPCA to raise funds. This year, Bluegrace PWD's decided to help raise money and at the same time have a wonderful social day out.

We had six of our PWD's attend - Tess, Cruiser, Jed, Splash, Fancy, and Tux.

Everyone wore matching PWD shirts, and the dogs (all wonderfully groomed in their resplendent lion trims) wore Portuguese flags around their necks. It was a striking sight! We had a fabulous day, and more laughs than we thought we could possibly fit into one day. We're already planning what we are going to do next year.

How nobody ended up in the water we'll never know!

The dogs were tempted, and unsurprisingly both Cruiser and Fancy ended up having a swim.

See if you can spot Jane. She's the one with the black dog.

This is after the walk, where we had to have a bit of a rest to recover.

The shirts were a winner and we had lots of questions!

We're already planning improvement to our outfits for next year.

Just to clarify, "No,it's NOT a poodle".

We should have also included, "nor a labradoodle!"

If you'd like to order one of our PWD shirts, just email us. On the front of the shirts is a pwd logo, and the words "Portuguese Water Dogs, Australia", and on the back, "No, it's NOT a poodle". We have a small number of shirts remaining.

Upcoming events:

  1. May - Dinner at the Portuguese Club
  2. June - Puppy review and judging seminar
  3. August - 1st birthday party for the 2001 pups
  4. September - major Royal pwd celebration and workshops

Email us if you'd like to be involved.

We'd like to remind all people that our dogs are raised exclusively on a raw natural diet. This means no commercial dog food. Ever! That's how we maintain the optimum health and condition of our dogs, both show and pet.

Email us for information on pups we now have available for both show and pet homes.

Please note: We are in Australia.
