| The Scottish people are extremely friendly. We really had a great time visiting their country and seeing all the beautiful scenery. It took some time to get used to driving on the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right, but we all managed just fine... just watch out for those sheep in the road!! They charge about 17% tax when you purchase things, but the good news about being a tourist there is that you can get a form to fill out which reimburses you for the tax you paid after you return home. And I don't think I'll ever complain about our gas prices anymore... it costs about $60- $70 to fill the tank on a regular mid-sized car!! Scotland definitely made NY/ NJ look inexpensive!! |
