Hello, I have just finished putting up some songs for you all to listen to. There is a recording of "Void Of Comfort" and "Pain" that Alex, Dean Derek and Mark just finished up last week. These are 2 songs that that were started that cold day in January but now we put some rough vocals down and re-did the guitar and bass tracks. A third live clip from the show in February at the Shark Tank was added, it's of the song "Inside" which didn't even have a name when we played it at that show...Feel free to sign the guestbook with your thoughts on the new stuff.
(April 4th 2004)
I just added the pictures from the show on March 4th at Bayside...Hope you enjoy.
(March 18th 2004)
So we didn't get to finish any of the recordings and we didn't get to play in Port Hope but Mark did play an acoustic set at the Engineers Hall for a really nice sized crowd, you can read up on that in the "shows" section of the old site.
We have a purevolume account now and you can currently download and/or stream the songs "Sadder Day", "End" and a live clip of "Pain". So feel free to head over and checkout the purevolume site now.

Hey, so the show in Port Hope is canceled but we were asked to play in Bellville at the Engineers Hall. As of right now Mark is set to play an acoustic set but hopefully Derek and Dean will be able to make it...(this news should change by 4:30pm today). We have added some sound clips from our set on February 5th, one is a clip of Pain and the other is a clip of Send The Pain Below by Chevelle. They are both about 1 minute and 45 seconds long. There is one more clip coming but we are having some uploading issues.

The review from friday is now up. There is a rumor that the Port Hope show might be canceled so keep checking back for an update. We have a small window of time to record tonight so hopefully we can get at least one demo with lyrics up for you. Derek will do the vocals for now and we will probably redo them once we are in ottawa but demos are fun for now.
(March 5th 2004)
We have a show tonight...It's very last minute as you can tell but a band dropped out of the show and now we are playing...checked the "Shows" section for the details...the show last night went well...tonight should be even better though...hahaha...the set list from last night is up in the "Shows" section as well.
(February 25th 2004)
Hey...It's not what we had in mind but you can now download a demo of what will become a song off of our next CD. It's in the "Songs" section and there is only guitar and drums on the song (no bass or vocals yet) but something is better than nothing. Feel free to let us know what you think about it in the guestbook.

What the future holds...A lot of people have wondered and would like to know what is or what has happened to Blind Ambition...Well, the answers are here. Blind Ambition is going to be playing in and around the local area of Belleville until May 1st with Dean on bass, Derek singing and playing guitar and Mark playing drums and singing back ups. On May 1st we are re-locating to Ottawa where Alex Maltby will be re-joining the band as the lead singer and most likely play some guitar as well, Derek will be up front doing the majority of the guitaring and Mark will be back on the drums. There is no word on what Dean is going to be doing after May 1st but we will let you know as details unfold.
(February 17th 2004)
We have a show...no we dont...we have 2 shows...March 4th at Bayside High and March 11th in Port Hope...As of now, Derek is going to sing and Mark is going to do back-up vocals while Dean rips it up as usuall...It's shaping up to be a good time.
(February 5th 2004)
The setlist and such is up for the show at Loyalist last night...We were asked to play a show on the 20th but Ryan has to work so we might work on an acoustic set with Mark up front again...We will keep you posted...The Guest Book was not working for a few days and I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I just got a new one...Feel free to fill it up with your thoughts...
(February 4th 2004)
Hey, I just added picture of us (mainly Dean) recording on January 24th. The audition is tonight and last night we practiced with Ryan and it went well, we will be playing 2 songs at the audition tonight and 4 at the show tomorrow.
(February 3rd 2004)
Ok, so we are set, Wendy is now out of the band and our previous singer, Ryan Snoden has stepped back up to the plate and we will see how available he is and determine then what the future holds for Blind Ambition and it's vocal leader.
Look on the bright side (is suicide) who said that??? what...so, we have a show on Thursday. We are playing at the Shark Tank Pub at Loyalist College. I will try to post what time we go on stage on Thursday and maybe a list of some other bands we will be playing with.
(January 30th 2004)

Hello, Everyone is back from Christmas break and we have started to record. The drum tracks for Pain and Flattered are done and Derek just finished up his guitar tracks on Flattered and he is just putting some final touches on Pain,
I just put up some "promo" pictures of the whole band from outside the Engineers Hall after the show on November 22. Hope you like them...I will keep you updated on the recordings process and hopefully be able to have something up for you to hear before the end of the month.
(December 17th 2003)
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. Sorry for the lack of updates over the last few weeks but there are 2 great reasons for that. 1, I used to do the updates for the page at work but they have now blocked the site I need to get to in order to do the updates, and 2, Wendy, Derek and Dean all went home for the holidays and we didn't have enough time to get in the studio to record...But, I have put up some pictures that were taken at the show on November 6th and November 22nd. Since everyone went home for the holidays, that means that the old line up is coming home and we are going to get together and play a show, so refresh the page and go in to the old site and I will give you the details on there when I have them...So until the holidays are over, take care, play safe and have a happy new year...See you soon.
