The size or shape of the candles are not important for magick. Altough for you certain shapes and sizes might be more comfortable to be used for each spell. So choise what feels best for you. The candles should be unused, ones that have never been burned before. Try to use only fresh candles, if you want the energies in the candle to be only what you are doing at the time with the candles.
In my BOS I have a section also for just colors, there you can find out what colors to be used for what reason. But here are a few ideas on this page.
Days of the week color uses.
Sunday: Yellow
Monday: White
Tuesday: Red
Wednesday: Purple
Thursday: Blue
Friday: Green
Saturday: Black
"Dressing" a candle can be very important. It is thought of as best if the practitioner dresses their own candles. There are many candle anointing oils today, some are colored, some are sented. To dress your candles you anoint them with the oil you want to use. You start by rubbing the oil in to the center of the candle. Work your way out from one end then from the center to the other end of the candle. Only rub the oil in the same direction. While dressing the candles be thinking/concentrating on what the candles and oils purpuse is to be used for.
