Literary Terms 1.) Alliteration- Mogadishu was like the post apocalyptic world of Mel Gibson’s Mad Max movies, a world ruled by roving gangs of armed thugs. 2.) Figurative Language- Maybe the ed-boys have finished and we can roll out of here. 3.) Hyperbole- So the civilized world had d decided to lower the hammer, and invite the baddest boys on the planet. 4.) Imagery- He heard occasional snapping of gun fire a few blocks away even though the noise was close. 5.) Simile- Despite the blood and pain, Williamson seemed more angry than hurt. 6.) Tone- The children began to wail with fright, and Yurek quickly realized he needed to throttle things down a notch. |
