In this book Killing Pablo it starts when he was a child his mother was a teacher so he attended school. Then he dropped out when he was seventeen and started hustling people for their money and boosting cars. He also got hooked on marijuana then he got sent to jail for a little bit and met some bad people. He slowly eased his way into the drug trafficking by killing the leader of a cocaine smuggler he became his workers leader. This would be his first cocaine business. A lot of the money he made he rebuilt roads and signs in Colombia. Soon he was the largest cocaine smuggler in all of Colombia. He became a congress man until his past was unraveled and he wasn’t the so truthful guy after all. He became so large that everyone either respected him or greatly feared him. Everyone that opposed him was killed not fast and easy either sometimes he would torture people slowly or kill there whole family and save whoever upset him for last. He soon killed judges and official members of congress none of this was linkable to him though. When he finally went to jail it was his jail he created exactly were he wanted it with the luxuries of a five star hotel. The guards were his men to so he escaped the prison. Colombia wanted help so they asked the Americans and we sent D-boys in although they couldn’t go in and kill him themselves with there supreme skills for doing such things they had to train Colombians to fight and track Pablo down. They tracked him down in the end and shot him with a bullet straight through the head. My opinion about this book is that compared to Black Hawk Down I give it a two because Killing Pablo seems much more informable then Black Hawk Down. Black Hawk Down seemed to tell a story with characters, a better plot, and a lot more action. Killing Pablo was boring it didn’t make me want to keep reading. Black Hawk Down was more of a story were as Killing Pablo was almost like it was copied from a C.I.A. report or something. In the end I think Pablo got what he deserved who cares what he did with the money it was how he got it that got him into trouble. I think Killing Pablo might have been one of the best liars in the world but he was to big in holding up his reputation and there is no way that you get rich by selling cocaine and doing it for the Colombians when he was giving them probably less than ten percent of what he made. |
