      My report is on Mark Bowden. He was born on July 17, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned his B.A. from Layola College in 1973, and began writing for the Baltimore News American. His books are non-fiction.

       He became an adjunct professor at Layola College of Maryland where he taught writing and jounalism.He grew in Illinois, New York, and Maryland. He graduated from Layola College of Maryland in 1973, with  a B.A. in English Literature. He lives in southeastern Pennsylvania. His son Ben is also a writer.        Bowden has written many other books other than Black Hawk down like Killing Pablo- The Hunt for the Worlds Greatest Outlaw; Road Work- Among Tyrants, Beasts, Heroes, and Roques; Thunder Man-The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad; Doctor Dealer- The Rise and Fall of an AL American Boy and his Multimillion Dollar Cocaine Empire; Executive Secrets-Convert Action and the Presidency; Finders Keepers- The Story of a Man who Found $1 Million; Unraveling the Landscape; Furness Iron; Our Finest Day-D-Day: June 16, 1944; The Fisher King. Many of these won awards including the Overseas Press Club’s Cornelius Ryan Award in 2002.
