July 2007-
Welcome to my web site where I have pictures of some of my work in sewing and embroidery. I hope you'll enjoy seeing them! I finally took the time to get up some new pics. Page 5 in the bear section has photos of some of the crochet bears I've been making. There are 8 so it may take a while to load. I also put up some new doll pics. They are on page 4 in the doll section. There are 2 of dragons with riders.
I use all kinds of embroidery to make cloth dolls, decorate crazy and appliqué quilts, and more. I've been sewing simple embroidery and doll clothes since I was a child. For the past 17 years I have been designing patterns professionally. I have sold designs to Soft Dolls and Animals, Better Homes and Gardens, Crafting Traditions, Teddy Bear Review, and Doll World. I also sell my own patterns and finished pieces on my business site. My business web site is called
Heisler's Creative Stitchery. Click on the name to get there. I also have a store at ebay. Click here to go there.
I enjoy all kinds of embroidery, especially Brazilian and silk ribbon. I have been buying issues of Australian Inspirations and Embroidery and Cross Stitch magazines. These magazines have the most beautiful projects.
Another new project I'm playing with is crocheting miniature teddy bears. I love how tiny and soft they are. I've also been knitting a bit, too. Mostly scarves and hats.
Combining embroidery and quilting is a lot of fun. In the quilt section you'll see pictures of quilts and some other things I've using quilting techniques on.
I also like to tat. I enjoy making small items like snowflakes and holiday items to give away. There are some great sites on the web with free patterns, including mine. Right now I'm working on a book of patterns. I hope to have it ready to send to a publisher this year but it will all depend on finding enough time to make all the samples and type up all the directions.
The Paint Shop Pro pages show some of the projects I've made while taking classes from PSPimaginarium and
webtechu. Read more about the class sites on my links page. I have my diplomas from these classes on the diploma page. PSP is a really fun program to use. There are so many talented people writing tutorials using PSP and quite a few places to take free classes. I've also found groups that share tutorials, tubes and other things for PSP.
These pages are graphic intense and will take a while to load. I hope you'll stick around to view them! I have a dial up internet connect and hate to wait, but I really wanted all these pictures up. Someday maybe I'll have the time to update the site with new photos.
