Two National Television Specials Featuring Music From All-Star Country Project Slated To Air in May and June – “CMT Crossroads” with ZZ Top and Brooks & Dunn Re-airs on CMT May 18 and June 9, “Sharp Dressed Men: A Tribute To ZZ Top” with Tracy Byrd, Andy Griggs, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins and Montgomery Gentry Airs on TNN June 23

NASHVILLE, TN – RCA’s Sharp Dressed Men: A Tribute To ZZ Top, featuring 15 of country music’s hottest male recording artists, is available to consumers on Tuesday, April 30. This collection of newly arranged and recorded versions of ZZ Top classics was premiered recently at music industry events on The General Jackson Showboat and at the Hard Rock Café, both hosted by RCA Label Group in Nashville.

Music from Sharp Dressed Men: A Tribute To ZZ Top will be featured in two upcoming national television specials – one on CMT, the other on TNN. “CMT Crossroads” featuring Brooks & Dunn and ZZ Top, which aired initially on Sunday, April 21, will re-broadcast on Saturday, May 18, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and Sunday, June 9, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Produced by High Five Entertainment, a special program entitled “Sharp Dressed Men: A Tribute To ZZ Top” will be taped at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville on Thursday, May 2, and is slated to air on TNN at a to-be-determined time on Sunday, June 23. This ZZ tribute special will feature interviews and performances by Tracy Byrd, Andy Griggs, Brad Paisley, Montgomery Gentry and Trace Adkins, as well as interview footage with ZZ Top, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney and Phil Vassar. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the taping on May 2 is open to the public and admission is free.

A music video featuring Lonestar, Andy Griggs, Brad Paisley, and Tracy Byrd, with a special guest appearance by ZZ Top, will have its world premier in the coming weeks.

This ZZ Top tribute contains over 67 minutes of music. The 15 tracks, produced by various producers, range from turbo up-tempos to bare-bones ballads. Some arrangements mirror the originals; others tracks are exceptionally distinctive interpretations.
