"Undivided Bihar, the land of Biharies, twin state of Bihar and Jharkhand , boasts of historical glare of heydays of Samrat Ashoka. The atavistic political galore is still intact but what rules the roost today is economical inactivity and social upheaval. With all its pros and cons the state enjoys a unique position in India. Its people 'The Biharies" are visible in every nook and corner of the country shouldering the diverse responsibilities from administration to research. Fertility of its land can help feed the whole country while mineral richness makes it lucrative for industrialization. Its linguistic diversity boasts of languages and dialects like Bhojpuri, Maithili, Magahi, Bajjika all clubbed together is Bihari. Maithili's sweetness is such that u can't tell whether one is having friendly or foely exchange of words. For culinary inclined it offers mouth watering recipes like unique Litti-Chokha, Bachka, Ghughani, Sattu, Moorhi Kachari, Gheebar, Maalpua.
Today Bihar is in oblivion with its music art and culture. It has lost the grandeur and color it used to have. The land of Ashoka has lost its grandeur . Today this name is synonymous with corruption, crime, backwardness and stupidity. This image is classic example of partial truth coated with hyperbolic lies. Biharies by their strides elsewhere have shown they are no less than others when it comes to gene pool.
