Have you ever wondered how the affiliations between major and minor league baseball teams work?

Major league teams sign two or four year agreements called Player Development Contracts (PDC) with minor league teams. These are renewed in even years, so after the even number year seasons, you will often see many minor league teams switch affiliations.

Important dates for the PDC renewal process:
September 12-15, 2008 - Window where a list of teams that are available is provided to clubs which have not renewed their affiliation.
September 16-30, 2008 - Teams can negotiate for new affiliates.
After that time, teams will be assigned affiliates if one has not yet been found.

This list indicates when the Player Development Contract for each minor league team is set to expire. If you have any information to help me out, I would appreciate if you sent me a message.
