    Mark Bowden is a decent author who get's in touch with his thoughts and input in his work. His books are very into detail and not missing a single event. To top off his work he doesn't go into so much detail that the sentences or paragraphs drag on and on, he's more about, lets cut to the chase. Some of his great works are: Killing Pablo, Our Finest Day, Finders Keepers, and the most popular and known Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War which actually earned him the Hal Boyle Award. He's also written articles for Men's Journal in Sports Journal and Rolling Stone. As an accomplished American writer he has won many awards such as international recognition after Black Hawk Down was published. Before even becoming an author he worked at many places like McDonalds, Kellogg's, Virgin, and companies like Clark Shoes. Before ever deciding that he wanted to be a writer he was thinking and contemplating many ideas and wondered what he could do further in his life, but at his stacle job as a Staff Reporter for the Baltimore News American he was doing good there, but wanted more and to be full filled in his life.
      On July 17th, 1951 Mark Bowden was born on a sunny bright day in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents Richard H. Bowden and Rita Lois Bowden were always moving around constantly. Throughout his childhood he lived in Illinois, Washington, New York, and Maryland. Receiving a B.A. for English Literature in 1973 from Loyola University in Maryland he graduated with first class honors. Going from there he became a professor at the college where he taught creative writing and journalism. Then in 1979 he went to Huddersfield University. Later on he met Gail Louise McLaughlin and ended up marrying July 24th 19??. They had 5 kids of there own named Aaron, Anaya, William, Daniel, and Benjamin. Now living the southern eastern part of Pennsylvania he very much enjoys being home and spending time with his family and work on his swing (golf). A few things that he enjoys is football, golf, swimming, running, tennis, skiing, and going to the gym to pump, his self up, well actually to just keep himself toned. In his home in Pennsylvania he relaxes there away from the public; loves the simple life and the warmth of his home.
      One of his passions is to travel. He travels to places such as South Africa and areas around the European countries. When visiting South Africa he went to Mogadishu, Somalia to do some check ups for his book BHD. He also photographic modeling for 15 years advertising advertised work, fashion, and TV commercials. He plays a major part in contributing to the American Magazines. His work has not been pushed/set aside but rather noticed, appreciated, and awarded with many medals, honors, and prizes.
      His love for music is rather appreciated he plays the saxophone and performs in Europe. In 2005 of April he's played at orchestral work written for the BBC symphony orchestra that was broadcasted on Radio 3. In January 2003 he was to take part in choreographers and composers exchange at South Bank Centre. Working with young people in North Yorkshire he works on various sounds in Inventors Project as the Residential course.
